i know its convenient and i cant really describe why i dont like them i just dont. and i have used them before. side note: how do u do the signature thing. it says go to "edit profile" and copy into the signature bix but i cant seem to find it :(

I think there's a slight delay in your permissions being upgraded. I was looking also, but I'll just have to wait until tomorrow or something. C'est la vie.

edit: Ahh! There is a spambot running rampant, and we also can't report those. Oh, to be an actual member!

I know this will prob result in some hate but i just think the REOs are kinda lame
Lmao!!! They are actually kind of nice. I just don't want to carry spare batteries. I'll get one eventually just to have it. But for all day vaping i want worry free and less to carry. I get an entire day out of one battery with the rdna dripping at 28w. I can grab a mod and a bottle of juice and that's it till I get home that night. Love the convenience. 9-10 hours on an 18650 probably 4 hours on the lipo. The cats I know with reos are bringing 4-5 batteries to work. Worse case scenario I can plug the rdna into the USB port in the truck or sit it on the wireless charger in the office.

I bought an atlantis tank and IPV 2s for 150. If I was doing it over I'd try to find a more compact power supply. The Atlantis gives me all the vapor I want in most situations at 8 watts. I find no reason to go past 25 watts so my 60 watt box is overkill. The Atlantis consumes more juice. The tank is small so I refill more often. But the taste and vape quality is so superior to the Nautilus mini it's worth the extra effort. The N mini is relegated to backup.

I'll have a DNA40 power supply eventually but it's temp control feature requires nickel wire coils and the only way to get those at the moment is make your own, which I'm not doing.

Man dang bro. I get a solid 6 hours out of my reo if it's all in using. But I have low cycled batteries. Only have to carry 1 for back up if I have my reo with me.

Really. For the OP. It's about preference Can't beat the Erlkronogin as far as an RTA goes. But it's all about what you want to do. You want to drop. Or you want a tank system. Then make your call. The vapor shark is beast. My wife has several of them. I got the Hana 40. And it's banging. But my provari 3 is my tank. It handles my all day duties. Every mod and tank has its ups and limitations. Just have to really think about what you are looking for in vaping Everyone is different. And everyone's needs are different. It's easy to blow the budget. Easy. Provari is tried and true. That device will be working 6 years from now But you are limited in how low in ohms and how high in wattage you can go The reo is nice for what it is It's the only way I can drop away from the house. I have too much going on when I leave to worry with bottles and napkins And lol. I have found an amazing bottom fed RDA that imho can't be beat for flavor with the coo
Set I have built. Just have to decide what you are looking for And then make a decision

Wapari or Gepetto are both blow the budget amazing mods

The vapor shark rdna fits almost all your needs for a mod. Probably the wisest choice then it's all about a topper. Drip or tank?

That DNA40 looks amazing. I might just have to expand my budget. Anybody else have any other suggestions?

Not by much if you catch the Cyber Monday sale at Vaporshark. It's 20% off, or 189.00 minus 37.00 equals 151.00. Add a Lemo at about $ 42.00 and you're on your way to vaping Nirvanna.

'Course you might settle for a less expensive tank but in any case you'd be set until your next step up, that is, for a while.

If your in it for the hobby, like a lot of us are, you'll want to be building your own coils.

If you want the latest and greatest the DNA40 is a good option, but there are other boards that will go higher in wattage if your after cloud chasing. I like my DNA40 bottom feeder it's the perfect everyday allday device, but if it's massive clouds your looking for you'll need something else.

Then it's a question of what kind of topper to use. Tank or dripper. IMHO RDAs are better as they give more flavor, the nice ones have adj airflow, they aren't prone to leaks, easy to build on, and their not top heavy. The down side is that you'd have to carry a bottle of juice, and actually drip. If that is an issue you can look into bottom feeding, all the benefits of dripping but not the hassle. I'm not aware of a DNA 40 BF device for 150$ though. I built Gdeals DNA BF mod and parts alone cost me at least 220$.

The SVA BF looks awesome, but it has it's own set of querks, and a 350$ price tag.

So for your price the vapor shark and a good rebuildable tank clone would be a decent mod. I would hold off on ordering a DNA40 device until the chips installed are v1.3, right now some of the 1.1 and 1.2 chips have a bug in them that's been fixed in 1.3, why roll the dice, right?

Hello,

I've been vaping with cheap eGo batteries for quite some time now, and, this Christmas, I'm looking to drop around $150 on a high end APV. I'm appealing to you experienced vapers to suggest to me their favorite APVs in that price range (including a tank), along with any pros and cons of the unit.

Thanks! :D

With that kind of budget, I'd look for either
- one of the newer vamos - 6, 7, 8 and now there's a 9 also.
- the svd2
- e-lvt2

and a mech mod with a kick for backup: I use a chiyou; it will take a kick and 18650 battery.

and 2 toppers:
- an rda: I've got and recommend the 30mm magma, and the 30mm veritas
- a tank.

lots of options there for a tank

thats my exact setup right now :). mvp 2 is pretty good for what it is but would love to see it for 40 instead of $60-65. maybe once the mvp 3 comes out in a couple weeks there will be a price drop
At 101 vape they usually have mvps for close to $40. Where u including the topper in the $60-65 price?

I'd second the Veritas RDA, vapes like a champ, huge clouds. I'm not sure if they're available for sale yet, but the Marquis is looks brilliant, and with the jigs, poles and what-not, it looks a shade easier to build a vertical dual coil on it than on the Veritas.

I have a digital mod I would recommend, the Invader by Heatvape...its variable voltage and wattage, runs on two 18650 batteries, you can sub ohm with it down to a .4 I think is the lowest it will let you go, it is pass through so you can vape while charging and it has a usb port to charge your phone or whatever if you need to, it comes with a cord with multiple connections on it...plus the mod just looks really good I think, I have a red one and I paid $70 for it. The atty I have on it right now is also by Heatvape its the Kayfun 3.1 which runs $35 or $40, at the moment I have a .7 ohm single coil in it with cotton and the flavor off it is amazing. If you want to go mechanical mod I use a Hades 26650 that I paid $40 for and I switch between 2 atty's with it, I use a mutation x that I paid $32 for on ebay and that beast is a cloud chasers dream, I also use a dark horse rda clone I picked up for $18 on ebay and that also puts out serious clouds and they both produce great flavor. I'll stop rambling but I hope this helps you a little bit man, happy vaping.

I'm also quite the geek, and am willing to learn whatever it takes to operate even the most advanced of units. I'm pursuing this as a hobby. Not just as an alternative to smoking cigarettes.

If you want to make it into a hobby, I suggest getting a mechanical mod with both a RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) and an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer). That way, you can have the convenience of a tank when you're outside, and the performance of a dripper when you're at home. You'll have to learn how to build coils and wicks, but it's actually pretty easy. You can experiment with coils and wicking techniques, types of coils, types of wicks. It's recommended you use a mechanical mod with an RDA/RTA, but you can use those things with high end regulated mods too.
