New to vaping; battery issue?

Hi Haileyrobin! Welcome to ECF! I suspect that the reason your batts don't fit, is because they are protected cells? Those are longer, and not really suitable for vaping if I've guessed right. They're longer than standard because they have circuitry inside. They won't really fit into almost ANY 18650 vaping device. Any way you can return them?
Batteries are THE most important part of your gear, and you should really invest in good, proper ones. I would recommend LG HG2's, LG HE4's, or Samsung 25r's. Unprotected! Sounds counterintuitive, i know, but read up a little on batteries and safety! SO important. You can search for articles by Mooch or Baditude. They know their stuff.

Unprotected (IMR) batteries are around 5 mm. +- some shorter. Building another battery block (shorter) from say a, "block of wood", would be a quick fix to use the batteries you listed. Resized contacts would also be required within the block.
Stay away from any batteries with "fire" in the name. They are terrible and potentially dangerous, even more so in a mechanical mod.
Pushbutton is exactly correct. Stick with good batteries from a reputable place. Personally I get all mine from illumn.com

How many amps you planning on running through your battery. How many amps are your batteries rated for? Are they high drain batteries because flashlite batteries do not work for vaping. We would hate to read about you in the news. CHEERS!
Honestly, if you are lucky and end up with THESE, it really doesn't matter what rating is printed on the wrapper (which is often true for rebranded batteries as well)
Hello there.
On the dimitri you have screws on the bottom of the mod (below the position of each battery) to adjust the tightness of the contacts (they are not spring-loaded contacts). You need a screwdriver to loosen those 2 screws, install the batteries then tighten the screws till they hold the batteries snugly in place.
On the other hand if you're new to vaping I wouldn't recommend you using mechanical mods at all, until you familiarize yourself with ohms law, battery safety and other crucial information required for that application. Also note that you didn't really mention HOW new you were to these things, nor the atomizer you are using, but you will probably end up having to dive into rebuildable atomizers with mechanical mods, since that's the only way you can fine-tune your vape, since your parameters are fixed and the only way to adjust your wattage is through changing the atomizer resistance. You can find all the information you need on the forums though, so good luck and happy vaping
