No offense intended to the other members, but everyone has their favorite system, so you'll get all sorts of advice on "what to buy"....

Eventually, you might want to try another system, but since you already have the eGo, you might as well get some use out of it.

Excellent point. Why do people feel the need to tell someone what they purchased is crap and proceed to tell them what they should buy.

Yea, I'd definitely buy cartos too, but help him get the tank to work in the meantime.

I am so frustrated I seriously feel like tossing this thing out of the window.... But since I live on the ground floor, it wouldn't make a difference anyways.
Just got my eGo-T 2 days ago... In between the kit and 3 bottles of juice from this store, there goes $87. Vape for a day, all is "fine", except that there is only vapor if I vape it pointing the battery towards the floor - that's right. If I do it in a regular angle, nothing. Nada. No vapor.
/Rinse the second atomizer so I can switch back and forth - I heard they last longer that way (rinsed only once to take off the primer taste). DEAD.
Back to the first atomizer - time to refill the tank... no more vapor. Change the tank. No vapor. Atomizer is warm, and makes the gurgling sound. No vapor. Change the tank. No Vapor. Vape tip up, tip down, fast, slow, medium. No vapor.
What GIVES?
I am so frustrated right now, I can smoke a pack of cigarettes.
I got this thing because I thought it worked. I mean, REALLY?
So, tomorrow I will find a darn store to buy an atomizer and cartomizers. Really? 2 days?:mad::mad:

You've still made a good investment. There's lots of options for use on Ego batteries to replace the tanks, for far less than your initial investment.

Hang in there, and Welcome to ECF!

Sorry about your frustration. Before you toss it out or go back to smoking, pull the needle plate/wick out with a pair of thin needle nose pliers and drip it like a regular atty. The flavor/vapor isn't bad when it gets wet properly and the vapor doesn't travel through all that plastic. PM me if you need help and I'll walk you through it.

I feel your pain but don't give up the ship! I went through similar problems when I started vaping some 6 months ago. I have found that sometimes it's pot luck with the ego T's. When they work, they can not be beat, but when you have a problem it can be a nightmare. I only buy my ego T supplies now from Heaven Gifts;
Register Heaven Gifts

If you use this link to sign up for their site, I believe you'll get a 50 point bonus added to your account towards purchases. The first ego T I bought was from a US vendor on line and the battery crapped out right after their 14 day warrantee ended. My experience with Heaven Gifts has been great. Customer service was bar none, the prices are reasonable, and the quality of all the products were excellent.

Personal experiences will always vary, but now that I have 5 working ego T's, I couldn't be happier.
I recently bought the "Lea" from Boge. I have been enjoying this model as well. After using the tank style systems, I can't imagine using anything else. I admit that sometimes getting them to work properly can be a little tricky, but I remain a fan of this style e cig. Best of luck to you!!

Ok, here are my findings on this brand new day of messing with this system: The good news is that I got one of the attys to work... I pushed the wick in with a paper clip, and a also aligned the tank - as much as I understood aligning was, anyways....
I feel I have to have a pHd for this thing to work...
As far as how I cleaned the atty: I rinsed with water after watching numerous youtube videos and reading countless threads, let dry for 48 hours, and further dried in the over at 200F for 1 hour.
I am not having leaks, so I am not sure if my system is flooded as you guys are saying... My understanding is if there is flooding there is leaking too?
Phroge

I'm so tired of people bashing the tank systems when they don't understand the tank systems. Some people may have a little trouble at first, but if they take the time to learn about the tank system, it works as well as any other PV.

So you hear that driving a car is a whole lot better than walking. You go down to the car lot and you buy a Brand A car. It looks good and other people have said good things about it. You get in the car, start it up, put it in gear, and whumph... it stalls out. So other people hear you have a problem and say "Oh, you should have bought a Brand B car, they work better". So you buy a Brand B car. You get in, start it up, put it in gear, and away you go. All is good, right? Not really... You see, the Brand B car is an automatic. The Brand A car has a clutch... which you didn't understand before you tried the Brand A car. So of course, not using the clutch caused the Brand A car to seem to malfunction. The Brand A car functions just as well as the Brand B car, when the user understands just how the Brand A car works.

The moral of this story is: Don't blame the device when you don't understand the device.
Alternate moral: Some people like Chevrolet, some people like Ford, and people will always tell you that their favorite is better than any other kind.
Really? Sorry you are tired.... I am tired too... But guess what? I am the one who spent the money in a system who is not working for me - so I deserve myself the right to be tired - excuse me! If I bought myself a lemon car, I would reserve myself the right to complain too - which is why I don't have a chevy  Been there, done that, lesson learned, no, thank you very much. I work very hard for my money and the least I ask is that the things I buy work properly, as they should. If you have no problems with buying something that gives you problems over and over again, well, that with you. But when you buy this system, there is no disclaimer saying it is going to be such a hassle, and you need to do this, and that, and it is not going to work 75% of the time. Show me that disclaimer and I am fine with it.

Anyways, Thank you guys for all the help... I am going to go out in a minute to a local store to buy a back up plan - probably an XL carto or a clearomizer until my cartos from Bill arrive in the mail. I will also buy another atty. I don't want to rely on this atty and have something mysterious happen to it on a Sunday night. I just hope this gets easier........ I like the taste of it soooooooo much better than cigs already, and really really don't want to go back to smoking :(

Hey... Im sorry to hear that you are having so many problems... I started with a 510 (battery life sucked) got a Riva 510 (love it) and just the other day got an Ego T.... the only problem I have had with it thus far is on one tank I inserted I wouldnt get any flavor.... try again... nothin... try again... etc etc.... anyway after a few minutes of fiddling with it I realize that the little spike didnt poke through the giggie so no juice was gettin to my attie ( the plastic or rubber or whatever just stretched around the spike) so I poked it with a paper clip manually and got juice to it and it has worked since.... although I will say that I still prefer my Riva with a boge 2.0

No these are 2 different things. Leaking is not the same as flooding. Actually so far, when my tank is leaking or the tube is over condensed, I never have flooding and vice versa.

Many many folks have had problems with the various eGo-T systems, either the Type A or Type B. For me, the Type B tanks were leaking pretty much right out of the gate (and by leaking I mean, all the juice would leak out the hole into the atty, the battery, and wherever I set the thing down.). I have 1 eGoT atty left, and might try and follow Vicky from Cignot's instructions on how to clean the atty, but it also requires some amount of me finding the right tools to pry the plate off, etc.

My standby atty is a plain Jane 510 with a drip tip. I've never had any problems with those attys, and I was getting a couple months use out of them with regular cleaning. The only beef is obviously that well.. convenience.

I'm having somewhat better luck maintaining the 510-T attys, rotating with 3 cleaning them every couple days in isopropyl alcohol, letting them dry for a couple days, then clean the next one in rotation, etc. The tanks seem to give up faster than the attys do.

Bummer! So sorry it's not working for you.. definitely try a blow out (I twisted the corner of a paper towel and stuck in the tank end, and blew from the battery end) to see if you can get it working again until you get your cartos in the mail or find something local.

On the plus side, you already have some awesome batteries, and those are the most expensive part!

Hey CCarolina! Are you in Dallas, N.C.? I am in Denver, N.C. ! That in itself should confuse people!! LOL!!! Just read your post and it could have been written by me. I too have had a Love/Hate relationship with vaping. So far, the most dependable PV is the Riva for me. I just got a dual coil clear cartomizer (510) at Madvapes today and so far so good! I'll have one good day....then one day that it seems all I do is add liquid, change attys, clean up leaking liquid, suck my brains out....you get the picture.....ready to chuck it!!! Then, I'll have a good day like today.....happily vaping my Cherry Amaretto......Lot's of people say the 510 Riva can't be beat.:vapor:

Yeah, I forgot to say I am puncturing my tanks with a thin paper clip before inserting it... I will ask about this carto - Boge. They seem to geta lot of good reviews - thanks for the tip!

Why are you doing that ? I take a new cartridge and push it onto the atty until I get that click sound . Rotate it around 360 degrees then remove it and fill it with a syringe . I never try to remove the cap that will eventually wear it out and cause leaks .

I think the paperclip is used to puncture tank so the spike won't get so much wear and tear.

When mine floods, I take the tank out and hit the atty without it on there until it uses the juice.
I read on here where someone else does that.

I only clean my attys when I get a burnt taste. i have been using the same two for 9 weeks daily.
I added two more about 2 weeks ago and I rotate them with the orginal two attys.
My attys are all LR.

I do get leaks and floods, but I do love the Ego-T. I think of getting a mod, but I'm afraid it won't be enough like the Ego-T for me to like it.

I am going to order some cartos to try with it. I have only tried one and I didn't like it, but I don't know what kind it was.

I love KBV Crisp Cola double flavor and KBV Cinnamint double flavor with my Ego-T type B tank LR atty.

Well, just before coming to the forum tonight I checked my email and saw that the Ego-T kit I ordered today has shipped. Then I came here and read this thread. I'm hoping I didnt make a big mistake. I did get the tanks with the rubber caps as opposed to plastic, hope this makes a difference. I have no idea what the difference between type A or B is. The one I ordered has the 1300mAh batteries.

I guess I'll know in a couple days. From what I saw on Youtube I thought these tank systems were the Holy Grail of PV's.

I also ordered some 510 carto's and it was mentioned in this thread that I could just use those should the tanks fail so at least I have a back up plan. :)

I'll be sure to let ya know how it works out for me.

You didn't make a mistake. Plus, you got a backup just in case.

I've always heard you should use the atty to puncture the tank to prevent leakage. Even to use the same tanks with the same atty that punctured the tank because they all aren't exactly the same. Don't know how true it is.

I think there are controversies about the paperclip - some say it is better to puncture the tank, some say it is better not to. One thing to keep in mind, is that I am using Silicone caps, and they stretch a looooot... So I do feel puncturing a tiny hole is better to make sure the atty goes through easily instead of just pushing the wick and remaining close. So far no leaks at all....just problems and more problems with the attys. I can't WAIT to get my cartos!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh can't wait!
But, I gotta say, I did get 2 more attys from Cignot.com - I hear they do have the BEST, and for some reason theirs last longer and work better than anybody else's. So I will give this one last chance... But again, have to have cartos!
