new to vaping! looking for some help

I'm pretty new to vaping, but I've done a lot of research and most people recommend MVP 2.0, I looked around and found it with a nautilus Mini for about 56$ I'm looking to spend no more than 120$ for everything I need. I have the juices already. is this my best option? I was looking at the Cloupor dna clone as well I want to get something I'm going to have for awhile and not be able to replace the battery in the MVP wasn't really a selling point for me. For the Cloupor I was reading about a lot of problems but they seem to be fixed in the newest one

Any advice or other suggestions?

My honest advice is to get something cheaper for your first purchase. The MVP2 is perfect in that regard. It will work beastly with all tankomizers (Nautilus, Protanks, etc) and if you decide to get into dripping it works great for that too. I got one after I dangled around with Egos and cigalikes for a while and then eventually got an IGO-L to try dripping. Was sold from there and now I'm a mech mod addict haha.

The reason I suggest getting something cheap is because you don't know if you'll like the experience, and hence you don't wanna throw a bunch of money down on something that won't get used. I never touch my MVP2 anymore, really glad I got it instead of the ProVari I was contemplating as I saved a LOT.

MVP 2.0 + Nautilus Mini is the ideal beginner's set up in my opinion. Just make sure with those tankomizers your ejuice is at least 20 % PG or it won't wick the coils fast enough and you'll run dry hits up.

Also, as a side note, the MVP 2.0 is awesome. If you go into dripping/rebuilding it has an ohm meter. It has a MASSIVE battery (mine lasted me a full day without recharge when I used it heavily.

I have a cloupor dna 30 and I rarely used it any higher than 11-15 watts with any tank. If you plan on using rdas, it would be a good choice.
My cloupor hasn't failed me, but other folks have have theirs die unexpectedly.
If you're going to use tanks, I'd go mvp as it is a proven, solid, long lasting mod with incredible battery life.

The dna is very flexible though and a great machine if it doesn't fail you.

My point is you don't what you'll want to keep in the future. When I got my MVP2.0 w/ ProTank 2 I thought that was the final level of vaping achievable. I was ready to spend 100 $ on coils for the damn thing and never worry about gear again...but then I got my first RDA...then my first mech...then another RDA...then another mech...now I have 6 mechs and 8 RDAs and I love each and every one of them. They're all cheap clones for that exact reason: I wasn't sure what I would like in the future.

It's hard to tell which device will be exactly right for you. If you can try things out, do! But if not, I don't reccomend spending a lot of money on something you may not enjoy.

I've set two people up with kits from that website, and also bought my Fogger v4 RBA from there. They have great quality material, excellent customer service, the cheapest prices, and the fastest shipping around (for the USA).

I recommend a Vision Spinner II, because it is variable voltage, and also packs the best mah rating for its size (1600mah in an eGo-pen style battery). The MVP v2.0 is great and I love mine, and it does pack 2600mah (which can last me a good 3-5 days), but if you would like to go the cheaper route, the Vision Spinner II is great.

I also recommend kanger products for beginners. I set my friend up with a glass kanger EVOD tank from that website, and it kicks surprising amounts of clouds when placed on a VV pen-style battery. For my friend, I purchased a Mini-Protank III.

I've had a protank 2 for about a year... I've had a few different batteries, as I tend to be hard on them, my favorite was a vision spinner. However.. The most durable battery I've had is a Kamry x6. I really like it because the others (ego styled batteries) I've had tend to come apart at the top of the battery (where the top connector part is lodged within the shaft of the battery). The x6 has more support at the top, and the outside body of the battery is one piece, so no coming apart.


I've had the pt2 for like a year and have loved it the entire time. You can get a pt2 pretty cheaply, as well as the x6. And they look pretty darn good together too..

My personal preference is my good ol iTaste VV 3 with the Aerotank Mini running a 1.2ohm coil since I don't want to risk running the 1ohm kanger coil in it, puts out a surprising amount of vapor for the little thing. I sank about $60-70 total into them since I got it when they just came out, but it was worth it. I'm buying a Nemesis and an RDA off my friend here soon though, but my iTaste I already know is going to be my at-home device so I don't haze up my room Find what suits you at first and just go from there. A simple spinner and a kanger tank should be a really great starting setup, or even a protank 2 like some said. But in the end, go with what you want

If your looking for something with more power than the MVP you should just get the Cloupor dna style device with a kayfun style tank. The only problem with the MVP is the battery and lack of power when you choose to upgrade your tank or go into dripping. Plus you can always upgrade the chip later.

I love my MVP v2! It still gets use as my driving mod, or semi-stealth vape, since my other device is a stingray clone. I always got 2-4 days on the battery when using it exclusively. I also recommend the aspire naultilus (or a clone, since I run an acro) and I am getting ready to try out the bvc coils since I have heard rave reviews about them. Now that I drip, my MVP has lasted two weeks on a single charge and one fillup on my 5ml tank.

Do not feel bad about upgrading to another unit, because always having back-ups and spares for when a main unit is down is key! Also, never drip and drive [emoji6]

PS: Technically a dripper can be run on a MVP as long as the coil is built above 1.2 (which I believe is the cutoff for the MVP) there are a couple videos on youtube of people successfully doing it. May have to do it myself just to prove it is feasable, maybe once I get a spare RDA.

will a naultilus mini be fine on a dna clone? or can someone link something they recommend clones etc? I'm just kinda worried about people saying they burn out and stop working, I dont really have tons of money to blow. I'd rather buy a 30w and kinda future proof because I know ill want to get into it more later, then buy something cheaper now and have to upgrade later I was looking at used provaris too

Do you have 18650 batteries and a charger for the Cloudpor DNA Cana/Chana? If not then that will cost you more. I guess you could charge the batteries in the Cloudpor with the mini USB... I have found that an 18650 in the Cloudpor with my Tugboat drippers only lasts me 3-4 hours but I have my dual coils at 0.6 at 30W

Yes, you can run a Aspire Nautilus mini on a Cloudpor. They start at 7W and go up to 30W.
MVP & Aspire Nautilus Mini is cheaper, no need for 18650 batteries and charger...

I've had my Cloudpor fail on me. I had a Tugboat RDA that was harder to get the top off and pulled the 510 connection out of the box. I pushed the 510 connection in and covered it with a towel and tapped it back in. Got it working again. Now I'm leery about taking the top off that dripper on that mod. I take the RDA off the Cloudpor, put it on a tube mod and take the cap off load it with juice put it back on the Cloudpor...
Called the vendor only had 30 warranty I was past that time.

Had my MVP for almost a year, vaped with it daily form October to February, never had a problem. Still used them to read my coils up until like 2 months ago when I got into dripping and building sub Ω coils...

My advice is to get the MVP and Mini Nautilus. You will have a solid, reliable set up that will last a while and you've found a good deal on it. I'd suggest getting a second tank as well as a small ego type pass thru battery for a back up.

It's a tough call. The Mvp 2 is a solid device with great battery life, but only goes up to 11 watts or 5 volts. When you're new that seems ok for a while. Eventually you get tired of buying coils, cartomizers etc. and grab something rebuildable like a kayfun, taifun , drippers and the Mvp 2 is not cutting it like it used too.

I only use RTA's now and the dna 30 even has it's limits as well if you go low on ohm's (sub ohm). You will need some good 18650 batts and a charger. But it might be more future proof and keep you satisfied for 6 months to a year. I've had no problems with my cloupor dna 30 device in the two months or so I've been using it. Even dropped it a handful of times and works fine (a few nicks lol, but works fine).

Buying an Mvp 2 now and perhaps getting a 50 watt device in a couple of months might be the best thing to do for you. It is nice for a backup, just don't get enough power for what I use now, would have to stick a carto tank on it or something to use it now.

Maybe I'm the odd ball out there but I been running my KFL's on my MVP for a bit and don't feel I need any more power. Occasionally I'll bump it up from about 8 watts to 11 to see if the vape gets much better but I really don't notice much difference. Guess it comes down to personal taste. The wife actually went from a vv V3 to an ego and a MPT2 and is perfectly happy after 7 months vaping. To be quite honest, I never see myself needing a higher wattage device but understand some folk like the higher power. There no accounting for taste I recon. There is no rule that says you have to keep buying devices with more power. I never had that mindset when smoking cigarettes either.

The battery life of an MVP will kick the cloupers .... At least IME. An MVP will last me 1.5-2 days, clouper with a 2600 mah 18650 lasts 3-4 hours for me. That's with higher watts on the clouper, but still it's a big difference. I love the clouper, but I wish I didn't have to change batteries so often (esp. since you have to take out two screws to change them). I think either would be good, I just wanted to mention about the battery life.
