Hi all. Been a heavy smoker myself (1 - 1.5 pack a day), hope to quit the bad habit of smoking thousand of harmful chemical into my body from a cig.
I've started vaping for almost 3 weeks and still trying different flavors from different vendors.
Starting on pods, had been trying 3mg to 6mg, still crave for cig. So I had to vape more (2 - 3ml) per day. And all the products that I've been purchasing (stating super cool, menthol), were not up to the expectation which results me to vape more.
Any suggestion for any ejuice that are really super cool?

can't help with the menthol, but typically when switching from cigarettes to vaping I'd suggest at least 18mg
you can try nic salts in higher strengths as well but with nic salts you won't get the throat hit that you are used to from smoking.
as for a cooling effect, try something with koolada in it

Hi and Welcome,
Glad to hear you are making progress. Finding what does not work is often more useful than immediate success.

IMO: If you are using a pod, you should be at 30mg/ml or higher depending upon model.
Please ignore how much nicotine you intake per day.
Your main focus is replacing cigarettes with vaping.
The nicotine addiction we can handle later, get off them stinkies ASAP.

Where are you located?
Do you have a vape shop in your town?

Cheers
I

You are cheating yourself with that anemic nic level. You need 50mg salt nic juice in your pod if you expect to satisfy that craving.

Flavors are up to you but since you're not averse to menthol why not stand on the shoulders of the chewing gum manufacturers who discovered that
  1. Mint
  2. Spearmint
  3. Peppermint
  4. Wintergreen
  5. Berry
  6. Bubble gum
  7. Cinnamon
will satisfy nearly anybody.

I am also going to solemnly suggest raising your nic intake unless you smoked like half a cigarette a day. If you smoked like a normal person, all the menthol in the world will do you no good as far as satiation.

So the good news on that is I HATE menthol and even Koolada usually but I don't think unless you were a very delicate flower type of smoker that raising your intake is a bad idea. I smoked 3 ppd and I'm at around 19 mg/ml but there were times in my quitting journey I was way higher like think 30--37 mg/ml.

Just raise it slowly until it starts to feel satisfying. Good luck on the menthol.

On a less solemn note. I love your thread title and gosh.. Today I swear to vape any and all newbies I see. Tasty feast ahead....

Welcome to ECF and good luck!

I was a heavy smoker for 50 years - firstly unfiltered British Virginia cigarettes and then a pipe ( which I inhaled - any pipe smoker who says he doesn't is likely telling porkie pies or kidding himself ).

I agree 100% with what has been said about nicotine levels - and remember on Smoking Cessation course they say, "You smoke to get nicotine; it's not the nicotine that kills you, it's the smoke that does!"

So, unless you are using a Pod, which I don't know about, in an ordinary tank and battery device I'd say you want/need 16 -18 strength liquid at least to keep the cravings away.

Later on you can worry about dropping the level, and I never did, if you want but the first step is to get off of tobacco and stay off it. Keeping the nicotine level up will help greatly.

You also maybe need to look at vaping tecnique - when I started vaping the advice was - draw in for a count of four, hold for four in your mouth or draw it into your lungs slowly, then let the vapour out through your nose for four. That way you ingest the nicotine just like a pipe smoker who doesn't inhale does.

Finally you need to do the mental shift. You aren't a smoker who is denying himself something; you are now a Vaper who is enjoying vaping and is obsessing in a good way on his liquid, equipment etc and enjoying it. This last is maybe the hardest bit - but it does work.

Welcome to the Forum and enjoy your Vaping journey!

Oh aye, by the way Menthol is good even if you didn't like menthol cigarettes - it helps with throat hit and gives you the feeling that you are vaping something other than just steam Add menthol liquid to any flavour you like and see how it really works!

Currently, I've bought a salt nic juice of 3.6%, spearmint flavor, and shall monitor it again.

Vaping is prohibited in my country, so there won't be any shop selling it. But I have my own ways to bring it in. But there's a risk. It will be a 5K fine if caught.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to try the ECF search function in upper right hand corner of this post. Could type in " menthol thread ".
Suggest increasing of nic in incremental stages dependent on type of nic, could read:
