Hello Forum!

I finally decided to take my 1st step towards quitting smoking and hopefully with your help and guidance I can accomplish that. I'm 26 years old and been smoking since about 17. The other week I ordered MAGMA Deluxe Kit from volcanoecigs. The Magma is a 510 version and supposed to be company's best product. Before ordering I did a bit of research and also ordered "Anodized Aluminum Drip Tip" as well as a bottle of there's "V-Liquid - tobacco". After receiving the products, I quickly realized that dripping is the way to go! More vapor and not as much pooling needed to produce it. I found Magma's regular tobacco cartridge to be very unpleasant, it leaves a very nasty sensation in my throat, I am still experimenting with other cartage flavors that they send me.

I am constantly doing research to figure out what would work best for me, but the amount of information out there is just overwhelming. I been doing some research on PG vs VG liquids, does anyone know what type of liquid is the "V-Liquid - tobacco" that volcanoecigs sells? I can take a guess that its a VG since they put "V" in front of the name but just want to be sure.

I am considering ordering the Magma's manual battery that they have on there website, does manual battery produce more vapor? Or is it only beneficial for saving the battery power and not to have Atomizer go off prematurely?

The way I been dripping so far is simply put between 3-5 drops right on the Atomizer it self, but I think that shortens the life of it right? And I need to use the blank cartridges correct? The 3 drops give me about 10 good pulls before I start seeing the degeneration in vapor, would you say that is about normal? Would I get more pools when using blank cartridge?

And the last question, the "V-Liquid - Tobacco" that I been using leaves my throat feeling scratchy. The vapor seems to be somewhat decent but if I can improve it a bit more that would be awesome. What would be some of the tobacco liquids that you would recommend? I seen websites that offer sample bottles for a decent price but most of the sample packages only offer one tobacco flavor and 20 other flavors. Any website out there that gives different regular tobacco samples?

I know I got a bunch of questions there but im sure to some people that are experienced in this field it would take a couple of minutes to answer.

Thank you

Sounds right but not sure myself

benefits of a manual battery.
a. if you get fluid on the top of most auto batteries you have a chance of getting it in the battery and killing it as most if not all auto batts are open where the Atty screws on.
b. you can hit the button on a manual battery a couple second before you take a draw to warm it up where as you have to suck start a auto battery.

I don't think dripping shortens a attys life. if anything letting one get dry would. and if your atty starts getting tough to draw through just rinse it out in the sink with hot water.

Bunch of threads on this and a lot of different opinions about it. I'm beginning to like non tobacco flavors myself. and yes there are some that let you choose which sample flavors you get. I'm sure others will chime in.

Thank you

Pg/Vg ratios affect vapor and throat hit, PG more TH less vapor, VG less TH more vapor. Nic levels can also affect TH, more nic, more TH. Of couse staying well hydrated is important to help minimize the scratchy throat too.

For dripping I sugest you get a drip tip, as far as I know, it doesn't shorten atty life. No atty lasts forever so but spares ASAP, then you can relax, knowing you have what you need if one quits on you.

Thanks for quick replies guys!

I found the next juice to try "Boba's Bounty" after so many positive reviews I just have to order it. Since I am still very new to this I have a question about nicotine MG's. How does 18MG differ from 12MG? I also found that there are 510 Low Resistance Atomizer available, do most of you guys use that when you drip?

Also what is a Cartomizer? I been watching some youtube vids on it, but cant seem to understand how is it different from what I have or if I even need it...

1/3 more nicotine...

Not sure what you mean by the question. How much nicotine was in the analoges you smoked. Gauge what to order based on that and work up or down; depending on your e-cig goals.

I just spend 30 min trying to figure out how much MG does a pack of Parliaments have... I used to smoke parliament lights 100's but in the last few month switched to regular short pack of parliaments. The MG's that are advertised on the bottle of e-liquids is that per bottle or per drop? might sound funny to someone but i really don't know.. How much MG's do you suggest for me?

Not to worry about not knowing; everyone starts at the same place.

This guide should help:

Welcome ! Lots of useful information on this site, I suggest you read, read and more reading.

Cartomizers are basically a disposable atomizer with the filling already inside. Some people love them, others hate them. Its really up to the user. I can use a cartomizer for several days without tossing it. Some try to clean them, but basically they are disposable and arent that good after a few days use. You can refill them several times, and personally i like them better than atomizers.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Good luck and wishing you all the best :)
