The new battery still fully charges to 4.2v and discharges to 3.2 volts.
Your Ego-ONE mod is regulated to STAY at 4.2 volts, I believe? So, NO, it wouldn't help.

(not sure what your ego-one mod is regulated to STAY at, but I'm pretty sure it stays at a fixed voltage)

I suggest you learn your battery safety. Please search ECF for "battery safety" and you will learn everything there is to know about batteries. I also highly suggest you LEARN OHM'S LAW. It is NOT called Ohm's Suggestion for a reason, it's the LAW! (lol) Ohm's law is a formula that will give you the perfect vape every time. So please, search ECF for Ohm's Law & learn it as QUICKLY as possible, it is basically MANDATORY knowledge for any new vaper, &, we basically have to tell every new vaper that it is absolutely NECESSARY! So please, USE the search-bar at the top left of this page, search "OHMS LAW" and please learn it best u can! ;)

The Ego one is not regulated.
It starts off fully charged at 4.2v and falls to 3.3v then stops firing.
As the battery voltage falls so does the output power.
It is a 'semi' mechanical with built in battery and some basic protection features.

If the fire button is pressed for more than 15 second it shuts off.
Has short circuit protection.
Over discharge protection cut off when the battery charge is below 3.3v

New guy from Boston here, rockin a evic, a mega, and an IJust2.
Sorry to the OP for bombing your post, BUT I smoked for yrs with bad lungs to boot, almost died twice. Until I got diagnosed with emphysema when I was 32, last yr.
I love vaping, it saved my life. I make my own e juice, and I'm healthy ; with an O2 saturation level of 97% from 84% last yr. I saw my pulmonologist a few weeks ago and I don't have to go back for a yr.
I hate cigarettes.
Anyway (sorry for being long-winded) but don't give up. Definitely lower your nic level. I do it by buying 500mls of 18% nicotine, 50-50 ; then get 500 mls of VG and cut it when I make my juice. I buy online and it's cheap as hell.
Believe me your lungs get used to it, unless maybe you're allergic to something.
Forget designer bull$hit, but be safe. .
Don't give up its so much better, remember every smoke counts!
Peace and God bless.

Hi. I'm a pack a day smoker and want to switch to vaping. I bought an ego one starter kit with a 2200 mAh battery and I'm using a 1 ohm coil. The e liquid I bought is 18 mg nicotine with both PG and VG, but I'm not sure of the mix ratio. The problem I'm having is that it's painful to inhale causing coughing fits, a lot like taking way too big of a hit off a joint or pipe. Hardly any vapor comes out when I exhale. I'm trying to mouth to lung hits to simulate the smoking habit, but I've tried direct to lung also and it's the same. The flavor is good so I don't think it's faulty hardware. Does anyone have any advice that could help solve my problem? I'd appreciate it!
the ego has replaceable coils and a choice of resistance but airflow is limited.you may want to change to a 1.8 or 2.2 ohm coil. with the limited airflow a 1 ohm coil will give you a very warm vape.I've been vaping for a year now and still run .9 ohm coils in my sub tank and 1.3 ohm coils in my EK V2s. and both have much higher airflow than the ego. some people like a warm vape but it can be very unpleasant for someone just starting to vape. I still find a .5 ohm coil in my sub tank too hot. it burns my throat on the inhale

I have the mega, the CL coils that come with it suck. Dry hits galore. I'm using the evic with the nickel head that came with it, but it actually works pretty good. I had to rebuild a CL before I got the CLR heads, which I would totally recommend. They work really good.
Learn how to build and you'll be golden. I just grabbed a lemo drop and threw a Ni build in it. TC is great, once you get used to your mega you should definitely upgrade.
Everyone says the mega tank sucks but I think it's great, ESPECIALLY since they put out the CLR heads. You get a five pack that can last forever if you're careful.

Have you ever used the mega tank? I think the airflow is great! To each his own I guess.
