I am getting a bad feeling in my throat. Feels like it is dry and swollen and it's really bothersome. I am soooo bummed!!!! Is anyone else having this problem? I understand that some people have to switch to VG, because PG can cause throat problems... BUT, i don't hear too many newbies complaining about this. Am I the only one? It seems so unfair!!

*****OOOOPS. the last option is supposed to be Yes, i had to switch to VG exclusively

Hi,

You are reacting to the PG - you will get used to it but just drink a lots of water to keep your throat moist.

It will go away. Stick with it.

I was at the drugstore an hour ago and read the ingredients for Biotene mouthwash, designed to cure dry mouth. Water and propylene glycol are the two main ingredients. Then I looked at Dentist's Choice mouthwash, claimed to prevent gum problems (us snus users need it sometimes). The main ingredient? Vegetable glycerine.

Stay the course.

So you had the problem and it went away? One mouthwash had pg and one had vg? Weird. I would think pg should be avoided if you have a bad throat..

I too had a sore throat using PG. I started vaping with VG and I never noticed a problem. Once I got the PG e-liquid from eastmall, I started getting a soar throat. I don't remember when exactly it went away, but it definetly did. My atomizers died, so I didn't vape for 3 days or so... but I just started up again. Yesterday night my throat hurt really bad. Swollen, Dry and just plain sore all day. Today my throats in "Recovery" mode.. it feels scratchy and I feel like I need to keep swallowing. It stinks to vape, because it makes me cough. I hate it!

Hi niko (smile) Just a suggestion...In case it is PG sensitivity (which some people definitely do have)..Maybe you should let your throat heal a bit before trying the VG..And then I'd break that in slowly..Dont blast it full force..Let your body become accustom...If that works..You can always reintroduce some PG later and see how you do...

I know I couldnt vape like I smoked right at first..I slowly increased the vaping..Best of luck..

I'm on day 18 of sore throat. Have seen the doctor once, tested negative for strep. She gave me codeine cough syrup for night time, though I told her I don't HAVE a cough. It put me to sleep but didn't help the soreness. Since it's been more than 2 weeks, I made another approintment, and I go in tomorrow.

I ordered some VG that I just received today, so we'll see how it goes! One or way or another, something's gonna get fixed...

In the meantime, a couple asprin killed the pain of the sore throat. Huh. Pain killers for sore throat. Who knew?

I am still having this damn sore throat. I stopped vaping 3 days ago. Not sure why it is persisting.

I tried some mouthwash last night which helped temporarily, but the sore throat is back. The name of the mouthwash is Therabreath (no alcohol, non burning, works instantly, reverses dry mouth, 24 hr fresh breath confidence guaranteed). I looked at the mouthwash ingredients it has purified water, oxyd-8 (patented version of ClO2, PEG40 hydrogenated castor oil, tetrasodium edta, sodium bicarb, sodium benzoate, essential oil of peppermint, sodium hydrozide.

I think peg is pg, right? I tried to purchase a mouthwash with no alcohol (which can cause drying, right?) and no pg (believe it or not many mouthwashes contain pg).Biotene is for dry mouth and it has pg in it. I'm trying to avoid pg! Grrr.
I also noticed some mouthwashes contained vg.
This is so frustrating...

I wish soooo badly that this sore throat would go away so i can keeping vaping and quit analogs!!

PLEASE KEEP VOTING!
