I wish I could change my poll vote! Strike one off of "I still have problems" but none of the other catagories fit me either, hehe.

Update: I went to the doctor on day 20, and made sure he understood about e-cigs and the juices, and my being off analogs, and everything else I could think of that could possibly be pertinent to this sore throat thing. I didnt think I had any other symptoms of the flu or a virus, except ear soreness, that I could think of. Apparently the sore throat switching sides was important, as was the fact that I kept having to clear my throat. Go figure.

Anyhow, doctor said I have a virus. Most viruses, says he, go away in 7-10 days. Mine didn't, possibly because I had quit smoking analogs, and caught a cold as my body was ridding itself of toxins. An old (8 year) surgery scar had opened up too, so my immune system was apparently in "wtf" mode.

I had switched to VG, btw, and that hadn't helped the sore throat either.

I was never so happy to hear I was sick in all my life. I REALLY didn't want it to be the e-cigs!

His advice was to take Motrin until it was all better, call back in a week if it's not.

Hooray!

I have had a bad throat for about four weeks, not in the back of the throat but further down. Ive tried antacids thinking it was that but it didnt work. It even hurts my neck and is really uncomfortable. I have stoppped vaping for about a week but its still there. Im considering seeing the doc if it persists. my view is that we all want this vaping thing to work as we want to quit, but im concerned now about the side effects im getting and it would appear im not the only one. I really hope it sorts out and its down to the liquid im using. I like vaping more than real cigs now!! Groan!

UPDATE:
My dry throat persisted and then turned into runny nose, nasal congestion, phlegm and sore throat. I haven't vaped in 13 days and all of my symptoms are almost gone. Just have some lingering phlegm. I am really hoping that it was all just a cold, but i am not optimistic. I am going to start vaping again this weekend, using VG only and see how that goes. I have a bad feeling that terrible throat thing will come back. I ordered my 510 from Innovaper SOOOO long ago, but still haven't received it. Maybe that's a good thing. I would have used it before my sore throat went away.

I am trying vaping again. Took a 2 week break, because my voice was gone. So far i've vaped only vg today. Ecopure and homemade vg/flavor mix. I used the cheesecake flavoring from Lorann, because it doesn't contain pg. The other flavorings i have do have pg.
So far no problems. But it's only been about 6 hours. Last time it took about a day to start having sore throat. Will keep updating.

I too have had problems with PG. My throat burned when I took a hit. It started when I first started vaping 3 months ago. So I did some research and found that VG might be my answer. It is. I have been going back and forth between the two for awhile now and discoverd that my throat does not hurt when I am vaping exclusively VG. So I am sticking with it because I want to keep vaping!
