Hey all,
Smoked for 19 years and noticed quite a few of the guys I work with were going with Vapes. Did my research and found a great reference source in one of the people I work with. Bought a Provari with a carto/tank setup and haven't looked back. Been a week and haven't smoked a cig since the morning I opened the package. I'm learning quickly, accidentally ordered 1.6 carto's instead of 3.0's and kept wondering why they were burning. Problem solved. So far I've found Vermillion River and Alien Vision to be my preferred flavors but am always open to new ideas. Looking for something with a little bit of a fruit flavor, but not sickly sweet if that makes sense.

In the last week that I've been vaping I've discovered a whole new world of web sites devoted to supplies. At first I thought it would take me a month to make up what I would have spent in Marlboro's but I'm rapidly approaching 3 months. HA!

Any input as to bulk carto's vs spending $2.99 apiece? Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks for the forum, I've been perousing the various links and sponsored sites and have my next 6 or 7 paychecks budgeted for future flavors and tanks.

I had a lot of trouble with carto's & tanks & finally switched to the clearomizers & I use them on my Provari. They last me 3-4 weeks & run about $5. VapeDudes has a great tasting juice that's not to swett, Vanilla Cupckake, mmmm good! Also just started using the Vivi Nova from gotvapes & love it. So far it's been working great for the last 5 weeks!!!

Great job on quitting smoking that's awesome. Taste is something that is going to be different from person to person but you might check out PBusardo's juice reviews. He has steered me towards some very good vendors. I have found vendors that are consistent and offer good fruit flavors are RAWR Vapor, FSUSA and JuicyVapor. But again there are a ton of awesome vendors out there I've only tried a dozen or so. Check out the reviews on here tons of great info on this site.

Definitely buy cartos in bulk. Some sites sell like 50 of them for $43.00 aka Electronic Ash. Surevapes also has great deals on boxes and bundles. I usually pay 4-5 bucks for a box of 5 boges. Look around though might be better ones.

Congratulations.. :2c: If its one thing I learned the hard way its using what works and being happy. You already made a huge leap and its working out so keep doing it. Then when you need to buy juice or a battery then buy one thing to try. Keep plenty of back up for what you know works well and take the experimentation at a slow pace. One thing that works for me may not work for you.

Also welcome to the ProV club. Your going to like it here.

Ok, checking out clearomizers and Vivi Nova's. Looking for the upper end of the 6 volt range so I'm thinking 2.8's???
How does the basic setup work? I'm not by any means tech ignorant, but what are the changes from the carto/tank setup? I like the look and it definitely seems to be easier than changing a carto and dripping ejuice all over the place.

I work for the railroad and almost every week someone else seems to be going vaperous instead of ashing all over. I had decided on the Legacy with the kick when I ran into a friend out here that spent a few hours showing me the Provari and the tank mod and I was hooked on the variable voltage and Ohm meter. I figured my wife was going to be mad no matter how much I spent so I might as well go all in ;)

I knew I was on to something good when I didn't have to go buy a pack of cigs that first day to go to work. I took a small puff from a friends cig a few days after I started and it felt like I licked an ash tray! I feel better than I've felt in years!

Thanks for the advice! I'll be looking more into the mods you were talking about.

Hi guys. From where i come from, it's a lot cheaper to go with analogs than vaping. BUT, if you think about all the harmful chemicals they put into them analogs, vaping is well worth it. IMHO.
Ive been to the Philippines several times Manilla, Gen San, Cebu, and your right Cigarettes are dirt cheep there. Id buy 10 cartons before I left I even once threw away some clothes to make them fit in to my suit case :) Im glad there's allot of Filipinos who have the since to Vape over smoke even with the higher price. My Hats off to all of you!

Wish I would have have started with a Provari. Could have bought 2 for what I spent on EGO stuff. Like you the upfront costs can seem high but in the long run, even forgetting all the heath benifets, the costs will come way down. I did discover that the only way I could be happy with the flavors is if I Made my own. Again, up-front costs but, now it's only pennys aday. Also, you can replace the coil wire and wicks yourself and save a ton of money in the long run. I found this forum has everything you need to know.....its just finding it. Good luck

Hi all, I started vaping less than a month ago using a Thermovape T1/ultramax 6v with an AVA HR atomizer, I've been lurking on ECF forum and learning fast (imho), thanks all for contributions to this wonderful forum.

Already spend close to 20 weeks worth of ciggy money to setup......But I will save in a long run. Am waiting for the nicotine, 19 flavours, spare ava-hr atty and one with RES from the States, when they come, I will be very busy! LOL

BTW this is my first attempt at stop smoking analog after 33+ years!

I highly recommend the Vivi Nova's. Make sure you get at least v2 or v2.5. To fill them you just unscrew the top cap and fill from the bottle. The atomizer head unscrews from the air stem and can be replaced. You can also clean the coil easily and by doing so you can make them last for weeks. The heads can also be rebuilt if you so desire. I use 2.8 ohm heads at 4.6V on my Provari. These are top coil so they give a warmer vape than a regular carto. Another thing I like about these is that the top and bottom caps screw into the cylinder which makes it more secure. I can grab the tank and even with a Provari with an 18650 battery hanging the tank will not come apart.

Another option to consider would genesis type rebuildables...very low maintenence cost, and excellent taste/vapor production.

The rebuildables are really intimidating as a newbie, but they really are worth trying. I quickly realized that cartos are not for me and was looking for a better option. I was lucky when I got into vaping and managed to get an odysseus. It is a bit finicky to start, but once you get the hang of it, totally worth it.

Only problem is the start of a GG addiction...
