Hey all, I'm brand new to the idea of vaping, and so far I'm(was) enjoying it.

As my first e cig, I chose Flux, and i was pleased i suppose, though i dont know anything about any other brand. One problem I have encountered though-and I think this is a fault of mine, not the manufacturer- is that, quite simply, my battery is dead.

I have read different instructions and thuroughly read different things about how this e cig is suppose to work, and have come to the conclusion that there is nothing i can do, other than replacing it.

Here's what happens: When i inhale for the primer, the led flashes 1.) ten times. I know this means I am over using the e cig, though i waited a period of 24 hours before trying again. 2.) 30 times, meaning i need to charge it. When i unscrew the atomizer from the battery, the LED flashes 5 times at a normal pace, or at a more rapid pace. I have no idea what this could mean. When i try to use the usb charger, the light on the charger turns red, which is good because it means the battery is being charged. But, after about 3 seconds of this, both the green light and the red light on the charger light up. I dont know what this means, though ive reasoned that it could possibly mean the battery is no longer capable of being charged, rendering it completely useless and not usable. I was dumb enough to no order a starter pack, so i only have one battery. If anyone has any ideas of how i may be able to salvage the battery, andy advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do enjoy vaping, and I plan on trying many different kinds. Any advice or tips is welcomed.

1. the battery should reset almost immediately after overuse flash (this is a thermal protection)
One of my chargers shows both red and green for an hour or two before it goes green.
I am led to believe the lith ion batteries should last through 150 -300 cycles. You could try cleaning the threads of both the battery and the charger, this may help the connection and the charge. I would definately order more batteries and an extra atomiser.

Pooferman,
I am not familiar with the Flux but the various different models have a variety of ways to "signal" you... Yours sounds like a code though- LOL I hate to say it, & I am not being funny- I feel for you that you don't have a working piece right now... Check out the suppliers around this site and grab ya a nice kit for less than $50- you will not regret it! AND if you run into a problem like this with theirs, they will all work with you, you didn't say how long you have had this unit, depending of the time frame, many have warranties/gaurentees... Also, they will make sure you know how to use it when you buy- either by you asking the questions on their forum, PMing them, asking the questions of other board members... etc- I really hope you get some resolution on this- I say, if you find one to order from tonight/ early tomorrow- you can quite possibly have it here by Monday/Tuesday...
Good Luck!

Pooferman...
If it's not too late, cancel that order for the blucig. I believe it's a (overpriced) 401, which (IMO) is the lamest model ecig ever. Again, this is just my opinion. So anyone who wants to can jump on me for saying it.

Order a 510 kit for 40-50 bucks from Innovapor, Nhaler, rockymountainvapor, etc., etc. You will have it in 2-3 days and you won't have to deal with anymore of those PITA auto batteries. You will be very happy with a 510, no other model compares on the hit.

Just my $0.02

I was trying to refrain from giving you an exact recommendation on a specific model of e-cig but since someone else has already mentioned one...
All, I am going to say is the Blu is NOT a 401... and the 401 is NOT the lamest e-cig on the market...

I will let you read reviews and check on hardware yourself but as you do, compare battery life that is listed for a 401 and then compare battery life for a 510... enough said IMHO!!

Seriously, everyone here has their preferred device. I believe it is nice to find out why a person chooses what device they use, but the choice can only be yours by reading reviews and looking at specific features of each device and then matching that with what you are looking for in an e-cig...
I, as well as many others, would NOT recommend a Blu... but that is again, a choice based on many factors...

Oh! & to your comment on "the people that sell e cigs that are affiliated with this site, right?" >>> The way they are affiliated is that they are members just like you and I but since they are suppliers they follow supplier rules set forth by the moderators of the site and I believe they pay a fee to have their own Sub-Forum w/ their company listed... This site/forum nor do the mods benefit from the sales of e-cigs of these suppliers... I hope that explains or rather clarifies the affiliation...

*** I am not "affiliated" w/ any supplier nor am I anything more than a member of this forum for personal education and gratification in my e-cig journey*** (My disclaimer) LOL

I did say "I believe the Blu is a 401" I did not state it as a fact. I suppose I should have said "The Blu looks like a 401", but that's splitting hairs. So if you're so sure that it's NOT a 401, I suppose you could tell me what model exactly it is.

As for it not being the lamest e-cig, I said twice that this was MY opinion. Again, if the 401 is NOT then please tell me one lamer. It's definately the lamest of the 5 models I have (by a long shot I might add).

The batt on a 401 might be spec'd to last longer (I don't think it does 'cause I have both and this hasn't been my experience), but to me it wouldn't matter if the battery lasts for a month if the thing doesn't hit well (which it doesn't).

I have no problem recommending the 510 to a new user. I have tried many models and it is just the best. I think there are hundreds of users on this forum that will back me on that statement.

When I started vaping, I purchased lots of different equipment tring to find "the best vape I can get". If I can share my experiences with others so they don't make 'mistake' purchases then I'm going to.

Not everyone has the money these days for experimenting. If you do, great. Buy every model made and make your own decision. But if you don't, and can only make one purchase, I'm saying 510, every time.

That being said, I have not tried every model out there (yet) so it is posible that there is something better, but I know it's not any of the models I have.

All the above statements are just MY opinion. All this stuff is subjective and everyone will have their own oppinions. I suppose there are people that would rather drive a Yugo than a Ferari for one reason or another.

I also read somewhere that if you drip your juice directly that you can overfill it and it will actually get into the battery...

just a thought

Not sure which post you are referring to, but yes this is true of an auto battery model. over-drip = wet battery.

Unless of course you are using a model with a sealed battery:) (cough..510..cough..cough)

Wow, thanks for all of the helpful advice everyone. It's much appreciated.

I have read reviews on the Blu Cigs, and from what i was able to find, not many people had problems with it's having an auto battery. I would imagine it could be annoying, but i dont plan on really ever carrying the battery in my pocket or bag or anything without it being in the case. I will take advice, and look around the other stores mentioned in this thread. Thanks again everyone
