Hi vaping world. I just found out about vaping last nite i came across vapeon.tv. I thought they were blowing smoke out cause of all the vapor coming out just amazed me. I tried a ecig from gas station before and it tasted like a battery acid pile of dung hehe. I dont know what i should get. I play cards alot im in a all girl poker club then i play at other tourneys. I was wondering what would be the best setup. I dont want to have to keep touching the bottle of juice and then touching the cards they might get mad hehe. So i kinda dont know where to start. Well thanks hope to get some feedback soon.

Hi Upstater, and welcome to ECF! I'm sure you'll get this same question from someone else by the time I hit the button, but what size are you comfortable with? Does it have to be the approximate size of a cigarette, or can you deal with something about the size of a sharpie, or even bigger? In the midrange, I personally prefer the KGO with Vision V3s or Kanger T3s, a lot of people like the Ego twists or spinners.

Hi Upstater, welcome to ECF.

Best thing is if there's a B&M near you. Most of them will take the time to show you different devices and taste different flavors.

That said, to start, start simple. Something like a Vision Spinner and Evod is a good way to go. The Spinner is a VV - variable voltage - battery that lets you adjust the vape. Some juices taste better at higher or lower settings, and it's all about what tastes good to you.

The Evod is a clearo - a container for the juice and a heating element called a coil or head. They're easy to fill and to maintain.

Some prefer a top coil clearo like the Nova or CE5 series. In those, the heating coil is, well, at the top of the clearo rather than the bottom, like the Evod. Slightly warmer vape. Again, it's about what you like.

Do NOT go to a mall kiosk as their prices will be WAY out of line!

Some B&M's are, too, but the advantage starting out is that you can get some personal and hands on help. And taste a variety of juices, which is not possible ordering juice on line :p

That said, this kit is reasonably priced, and provides two of everything (except charger and juice)

I'd suggest the Spinner - easier to read the dial and an Evod or T3 and an Ego Clearomizer or Iclear, so you can try both bottom and top coil devices.

I started the same as you with a disposable, ditched it the very next day for something else. I have been vaping for 4 mos. looking for the perfect vaping gear without spending a fortune. I've never had anything but Ego style batteries & I've tried a lot of tanks. I am not interested in Mods or expensive tank systems. This is what I suggest in my limited experience. (Item 1) Evod or Ego battery 650mah you might want two, one for a backup. This will cost you about $15 for one battery. (Item 2) Evod BCC clearomizers with 1.8ohm coils, they come in many colors so you can coordinate your juices. These will run you about 7 bucks a piece. (Item 3) a charger for the battery, about 5 bucks. This setup is very compact & will get you through several poker games without mucking up the cards. Welcome to vaping:vapor:

If you use any of these variable voltage batteries, remember to always start low and work your way up with voltage. If you start too high you'll burn the wick.

That said, spinners and winders have a much easier dial to read than the twist. Set voltage eGos are a fine way to start too, but the VV is nice if you ever move to mods.

The ismoka is one of the better tanks I've tried recently. I think there is a mini version that fits nicely on an ego.

Check if there's a B&M in your area though. Best way to learn is to see and try before you buy.

Hi Upstater77 and welcome to ECF. For a set voltage PV/ fires at 3.7 volts the Kgo also gets my vote.
For a variable voltage PV (fires from 3.3- 4.8 volts) I like the Spinner.
Realize most of the better PVs are manual which means to have to push a button to activate.
As far as refilling the juice delivery system (holds and vaporizes the juice and is attached to the battery) there are tanks/ clearos available that will hold enuff juice to get you through hours of vaping.
Best of Luck.

Upstater, we are practically neighbors, I live in Liverpool. To get started, I would suggest going to the best B&M we have in the Syracuse area, Unique Ecigs. They have B&M locations on the corner of Rte 11 & Rte 31 as well as the plaza behind Heid's. They also have a kiosk in the Great Northern mall by the Verizon store and Spencers. They also have a website you can order from. The Cicero store is the main store and has the best variety.

They will let you try out different PVs and taste all the juices they sell. It's really the best way to get started so you can decide on exactly what look or function you want. Even if you end up ordering from someplace else online. They have cig-a-likes, eGo style, all the iTaste mods, and some even carry Provari.

Welcome to ECF!

Started with the Blu kit myself. I was deployed at the time and had to wait two weeks for the delivery. I quit my pack and a half a day habbit on day two of vaping. I also ralized that first week that the Blu was not going to do it. Being reliant on batteries and juice I like to have a setup that does not require me to have extra juice or batteries. For the last couple of years I've been just taking two ego 900mAh with clearos with two different flavors with me each day and that works out for me.
