Hi,

I am fairly new to vaping, tried the horrid e-cigs in shops (10 motives I believe) for a few months last year and gave up then went back to smoking roll ups.

I have just started using clearomizers about 3 - 4 weeks and have not looked back.
I could not agree with the mini vivi nova or the CE5+, the burning taste/dry hits was getting unbearable (I was most likely doing something wrong...)
Just got myself a protank 3 and it is much better, not had a dry hit yet! Flavour is a bit better too! I am pairing it up with an SLB eGo VV2 Mega at 3.6 volts and works well for me.

I am thinking of getting a mechanical mod but just browsing at the moment.
I have been reading the forums for about 2 weeks but just did not get around to joining .

Do yourself and your credit card a favor, and take it slow. Read these forums, and research a lot before you buy something. I wish I did, it would have saved me a lot of money. I am settled in with a VMAX and VTR mod, Kanger ProTank2's which I build coils for, and Iclear 30s clearomizers. My next step will be in the RTA direction, probably a Russian, or something like it. Welcome, and good luck!

Welcome and I support the above message.

I have finally settled on vv/vw smart devices - hind site always 20/20 - threw away $as well.

Toppers I use most of the time: At home - RDA's (enjoy coil building wicking- experimenting)

Out and about: Car - MVP 2 with mini Pro tank 2,

Work/stealth: itaste vv/V3 another pro tank 2, occasional EVOD or Smoktech dripper (mini/micro).

Thank you for the advise :), I should slow down a bit. Though a mechanical mod seems right for me considering I fix electronic equipment everyday, just a tube/battery/switch, no PCB in sight other than a kick for vw/vv which is optional. No electronics to fail ;).

I can't believe you didn't get on with 10 motives. Such quality, such vapour, such.... cravings??

The burning plastic taste half way through a carto was just awful... plus it was costing me £7 every 2 days as I only went through half a carto, chaining them like no tomorrow too...

Also, there's a UK forum here where you can get much more specific advice, once you have 5 posts (and wait a bit for the server to figure that out).

So do yourself a favor and post a thank you to me! ;-)

I actually really like the plastic vivi-nova clone from FastTech; I think heads with too much metal (particularly BCC's) tend to just suck all the heat out of the vape.

Welcome to ECF!

P.S. Buy an MVP 2.0. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I'm here, when I'm here
Welcome to the forum. Agreed. Research and take your time. I went from ego's to itaste vv v3 to the MVP. Several different tanks but settled on Aspire ETS for now. Currently have my sites set on a Provari but that will have to wait until the tax return comes in. :D

Good luck and Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Hello and welcome to ECF. Congrats on getting back on the wagon.
When I switched from cartos to clearos, I was amazed at the flavor difference.

With the Vivi Novas, I had good luck with the genuine Vision branded ones (with the flat heads, not pointy tips). But was getting burnt hits with the pointy headed knockoffs Vivi Novas. Not sure why.

Ok, I got impatient and ordered myself a Kraken and Caravela :D Hcigar clones for now though but if I like them I will get a real Kraken but I believe a real Caravela is very hard to come by :(, should be here with me next week! I just love the idea of making my own coils and mesh wick. No burning taste i've heard too. I have read Ohm's law and understand ohm's per inch. will keep a single coil over 1 ohm but under 2.

I have some 500 mesh, will pulse method as do not have a blow torch... and some Kanthal A1 32 gauge on the way from cloud 9.
Using IMR batteries ONLY.

I have been reading a heck of a lot over the past couple of weeks before I ordered and it just seems right to me :) :vapor:
