Hi, I'm completely new to vaping/e-cigarettes.
I eventually took the plunge, to try to break a 10 year smoking habit, and bought an apollo endeavour kit just before christmas. However, I know absolutely nothing about maintenance of the endeavour (I was hoping it might be supplied with some info). I've spent a while trawling through a few forums and seen a fair few different stories about how to look after a coil etc. Does anyone have any experience of my e-cig, or know what I should be doing to prolong it's life?
Even the most basic, simple advice would be muchly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi and welcome! Had to look that one up. It's a simple eGo device with a battery and a small "clearo" plastic tank atop it. The only maintenance, other than keeping clean and charged, is changing the coils in the tank whenever they get gunky. The way you'll know they're getting gunky is when the flavor significantly falls off. They take Kanger ProTank / Evod Replacement Coil Heads which are pretty common. I see Apollo sells them for $10 for a pack of 5. They come in different resistances, but the 1.8 ohm or 2.2 ohm ones will probably be your best selection. Doing a quick and dirty Google search I find there are vendors who sell them for closer to $5-6, rather than the $10 Apollo overcharges for.

A coil should last you anywhere between one and two weeks. How long will depend on the juice you vape and how much you vape. That should get you off to a start.

Welcome @andjamwar Andy. Are you UK? If so, you've been a little bit diddled I'm afraid to say.

It's not often I put it this bluntly, but best to know now.

Your kit will work, but once you need replacement atomizer heads, new tanks, batteries and e-liquid - best to shop somewhere else.

Anyway.... good for you, Vaping is the way forward! :)

Rinse out the tank occasionally: When you go to change the coil, take the tank off the mod/battery and set it somewhere it won't get wet, take out the old coil, run hot water through it and shake it up until it comes clean - shake it off and let it dry, prime the new coil, put it in and vape away.

Darker & sweeter liquids will make your coil gunk up faster.
Maybe they have gotten better, but when i was using the Evod tanks, I'd go through a coil every few days with dark liquid.

Congrats on trying to switch! Good luck to you, and we are here if you have any questions or need motivation :)
