hello everyone. Decided to quit smoking after 10 years, bought a starter EGO-CE4 kitt. So far so good 12 hours without a smoke :)
Stater kit didn't come with main charger, after hearing a few horror stories on batteries. Need some advice on a charging method.
I only have a USB charger,
Input: DC 5V 500mA Output: DC 4.2V 420mA
my Tablet has a mains charger with USB adapter
Input: 100-240v Frequency: 50/60hz 0.35A (0.35A) Output: 5V --- 2A
I don't know anything about electronics, the EGO USB charger seems to have a small transformer. Can anyone tell me if its safe to connect it to the tablet main charger?
thanks in advance.

The tablet charger should be fine if it's got a USB port of the ego cable. Anything less than 5v output would not be advisable though so I would not recommend charging it on your computer since some of the USB ports have lower output than others.
Ok thank you for the advice. I was only worried about the battery melting on that charger. It's been on now for an hour and its not getting any warmer. I think the USB adapter has a transformer to charge with the right voltage. Also the light turns green when its charged, so i assume it cuts the voltage when the charge is full and it's safe to leave it charging overnight.

Aside from overnight charging being a bad idea in general, it would be fine. I charge mine that way all the time, it does cut power at full charge

And the mains charger: I've been using a tablet or iPhone charger for all of my stuff for years, no problems from either
