Hello Pixie, welcome to the forums.
Do you really WANT to quit? If the answer is yes we can help and support you in that. Your brain cannot tell the difference between a cigarette or a vape because the nicotine is the same. It's the habit and learned motor skills that you will have to change but you have to want to make the change to make YOUR life and those around you better.

Right now your opening statement sounds like your on the fence and frustrated. It's ok, we were all there at one time or another. Step back, take a slow deep breath and think for a minute, "Do I really want to do this?".
If so we are here and ready to get you on the right track.

Good Luck and you've come to the right place for support! If you aren't satisfied enough with your setup to stay off analogs, you may need to check further into how many mgs. of nicotine you are using and concentrating on finding a flavor that you really love. That is sort of the hardest part, finding flavors you love but it makes a huge difference.

What kind of device are you using? It may be too weak for you? Also, what mg is your juice? Could be that it's too low? I'm just guessing here, if you can give us a bit more info, we may be able to help you better. Are you using mini Ecigs, fixed voltage, or VV? Prefilled cartos? Empty carts you fill yourself? tank setup? Clearomizers? Lots of ?s... LOL!

ive been using ego batteries w/carto tanks! my boyfriend has a katana, gg's & vmod's & i will on occasion puff from those, but i only like the ego & carto tanks for now! the juices have been from halo, ave, & alien vision. So far, bounty hunter is my favorite juice & so is tribeca! i'm still looking for a really good vanilla juice that don't taste like a cigar...

Hi Pixie, I'm not an expert but like others said you have to want to quit for YOU, not for others. Once you realize that smoking has to stop (because it's a path that only finishes in bad places); than quitting becomes really easy with the help of the right equipment!

I smoked compulsively for 40 years and I thought I would die a smoker but I could!! You will be able too ;)

EDIT: Maybe WTA is for you?...

I totally understand what you are going through. I myself just started this past Saturday with vaping on a good set up. Prior to that I had used other "vaping" products (ie, Blu disposable, starter kit, etc.) and when I would vape on one of those I still wanted a cigarette.

However, when I went to a local vendor that had a starter kit with a good battery and cartomizer and I tried their PVs, I walked out with no desire for a cigarette for at least an hour, just like my regular smoking habit. I knew then this was the way for me to quit. 4 day later I bought their starter kit and started vaping.

I also am finding it still hard to quit, but not as hard as it was without the PV. I am down to 3 cigarettes a day and I will totally quit after this pack is gone.

ScatRD brings up a good point. You mention your boyfriend provided you with equipment to quit and you want your kids to be proud of you. You do have to do this for yourself first. Do YOU want to quit? I had to answer that one for myself also. When I decided to quit it made it a little easier.

Some people (like me) still desire the occasional real cigarette but, at least for me, it has been a LOT easier to go without them using the PV.

Good luck!

Hang in there! You can do it, if you really want to, but like others have said, you have to quit for you not other people.

I'm really hoping vaping will help me quit. I haven't ordered a kit yet. I need one more post before I can get one of the Canucks here to pm me the list of reliable Canadian suppliers (I guess they can't post the list publicly). I've done a lot of research on my own, but I just don't know who to order from!

Good luck and congrats for what you are doing for your gf (thumsup)

Sorry, but I haven't tried WTA. I'm in Florida also though and one thing I wanted to recommend is finding a vape group meetup somewhere near you. There are a few scattered throughout Florida. They are great to go to because you can try out alot of different juices and mods, and talk to others about what they like to use. Honestly, I needed a good support group after smoking analogs for 30 years and that helped me alot. I started watching and chatting on an online vape show (they have several that you can learn alot from and see new products on). Also, in the South Florida area we have South Florida Vapers that meet once a month. There are more further north in Florida. Best of Luck and a support group of fellow vapers is really helpful. There is on Wednesday nights at vapersplace.com, a live broadcast that starts at 9:30 p.m. EST, and also most every evening there are live shows on stickam.com such as VapeTV, ElixirTV, VapeTalk, HydroCloudVapor, and many others.

Don't give up pixie. Everyone is right though, you have to want to quit. If you do, you are in the right place.

What makes you want to continue on the analogs? Is it you still need more nicotine? Is it you miss the action of smoking?

Don't be afraid if you feel while you are going through this that you need an analog. If you just substitute the vaping for 1/2 of your normal analog usage, thats an accomplishment.

For me, it was hard because I am a landscaper and always outside and in my truck. I always associated driving with a cigarette. I could not drive without one. I kept saying "this is my last pack" and that worked until I got in the car. Finally, when I needed a pack, I purchased a disposable instead. I never went back. Maybe you need to start with an e-cig like an 808 or something. This way you can feel like you are still holding a cigarette. That was important For me. Now I use an 808 on the road and a large battery with a clearomizer at home.

Also, try this. For every pack of cigarettes you don't buy, put $5 in a jar. Figure here in Florida, each cigarette we smoke roughly costs between 25-35cents. So if you are just cutting back, put a quarter in a jar every time you vape instead of smoke
