Neither here nor there
I do a lot of online shopping (for lots of things not all related to vaping), and this is the first time this has ever happened to me.

My package made it to my UPS office Friday.
Sat there until this morning.
Was supposed to have been delivered today, but was not.

It's called UPS Last Mile delivery.
Apparently FedEx does it, too.

Instead of delivering to my home address, they deliver to the PO.
Then the PO brings it to my home.

This adds one more day to the delivery time. Not always a problem, but sometimes...

So, when given the option to select USPS or another shipper, and you live anywhere outside of city limits, you might be better off sticking with USPS.

Even though the UPS truck is in my neighborhood twice a day, they dropped my package at the PO. Tartar sauce!

This happened to me recently too. I have no idea how they could possibly be saving money doing that. I've seen similar agreements between parcel carriers in the past, having worked in customer service for a major online retailer before, but i hadn't actually seen it happen first-hand. It never did strike me as making much sense, but then again, i'm no MBA.

All things considered, though, i think i'd still prefer to have UPS deliver packages. I've seen (and had to deal with) the sheer volume of package loss the USPS has had in the past (don't know if they've improved since three years ago, but i somehow doubt it). Plus, USPS is more likely to just leave packages where neighborhood kids will steal it.

Did UPS just have your P.O. Box address. If they did then this would be why they dropped it off at the post office. Have you ever had mail that went UPS and then changed over to the post office. This has a name that I don't recall right now. I prefer the USPS because you receive it much faster than Fed Ex and UPS.

My husband has an internet business and ships thousands of packages through USPS and has never had one loss in the last 8 years.
