Hi ECF members, let me introduce my self-
My name is Bob and I live in the County of Suffolk in the UK.
I started smoking when I was 11 and I am now 48 and had been smoking about 12.5 grams of hand rolling tobacco for more than 20 of those years ( without filters ).
I made a conscious decision to quit recently and purchased a disposable from a petrol station. It lasted half a day for me until it ran out but it was enough for me to get started. I then purchased a cheap rechargeable 510 with a couple of carts and some juice.. That kept me of smokes for 20 or so days but I got fed up with the battery life . I then purchased a TECC micro Lite package . I did not like the pre filled carts but I refilled anyway so it was not a problem and now I have a RIVA kit which I like.
I have donated my 510 kit to a friend to get him started.
All in all ,I have been smoke free for nearly a month and I really like vaping but I have questions ( as you would have guessed ).
Do your taste buds get used to what you are vaping and shut down ? Let me explain. I have some juice (cafe Tabac 24mg) that I like. If I fill my CE4+ clero with it and vape. I can taste the coffee flavor in it for the first inhale only, after then all I get is the tobacco flavour . I have another CE4+ filled with mint choc If I vape this for a a couple of puffs and go back to the cafe tobac , same thing, one puff of cofee and then nothing ( except tobacco) on the flip side.. with the mint choc , all I get is mint no choc.. even though I can smell it.
So I have to alternate between the 2 to get the desired taste.
Do you all day vapers have the same problem ? do the flavours disappear?
Another question (sorry )
I really like the TECC microlite . If i fill the carts with tobacco flavour 24mg , I get a strong taste and throat hit with ( nearly ) every pull. If I use the same juice in a CE4+ on the RIVA , I really have to work hard to get that throat hit .. A lot bigger mouthfull and a lot slower draw than the microlite and the overall feel is a lot mellower . Is there something I am missing here?
As you might have guessed , the microlite is what I use when I am "out and about" and the RIVA is what I use at home while drinking a large scotch ( like now )
.
Regards
Bob
