New use for old "junk"

So I found this old 4 port USB hub I had in a bag of miscellaneous computer stuff I have while digging for stuff to cannibalize to build me a mod. It's old and cheap & I have no idea whatsoever who even made it. I was going to just throw it away because it won't work on my computer for some reason. Just as I was about to drop it in the trash and idea popped into my head.

VIOLA! Now I can use my rapid USB charger even when there's no computer around. I bet it would work just as well with a PT too, & since it's a 4 port hub I could use a PT and charge with my rapid charger at the same time. Sometimes it actually pays to be a packrat

I harrass dh weekly to get rid of the several boxes of "it might come in handy" crap. I will say though that it does sometimes come in handy.
