New user interested in eGo style PV

Hi all. I am looking to upgrade from my cheapy gas station type ecig to better PV. I am leaning towards the eGo style and was hoping to get some advice.

I am not a heavy smoker at all. I don't vape every day. I am a stay at home mom to a toddler and I do not vape around her, so it's mostly nap time and occasionally before bed. So, even if I did vape every day, it would be maybe 3 times a day - just to give you an idea of the kind of usage the PV will get.

I am leaning towards an eGo C style PV because I was told it would be cheaper to maintain. Is that correct? Are they easy to use? Keep in mind, I am new to this and have only been using a 2 piece ecig.

I did order this battery and this charger for my husband for his Fathers' Day gift, and I'm wondering if we could use the same charger if I got an eGo C for myself?

If you already got one for your husband, then maybe just get the new vv ego c twist battery and some vision clearomisers (aka-stardusts). You could both share at times and see which you like best. If you end up liking the ego c tanks over the stardusts, then you can just order a few cone/tank/atty setups afterwards for around $10 a piece. Also, having 2 chargers for egos is always a good idea if something goes wrong with one. Welcome to ecf and good luck!

If i were you i'd get the ego passthrough battery. It charges via any usb, is about the size of a lipstick tube, very durable and works with a lot of different 510 accessories.

Are passthrough batteries the ones that must always be plugged in?

The eGo pass through is just a 650 mah battery that you can use while charging. Once it's fully charged you can use it 6-8 hours like a regular ego battery. The difference to me is that you dont need a seperate charger. If you have something that can charge anything by usb already, then you'll be able to charge the eGo passthrough. They send you the wire with each battery. I sit at a computer all day and just leave it plugged in. When I go out I just take it with me and it's always charged.

I second the pass-through, using mine for over a month and love the thing to death.

Also second the Vision Stardust Clearomizers. Received two of them on Saturday and I'm still very impressed with their ease of use and performance. Solid flavor and TH.

IF you get a pass-through go for the eGo-C variety, it has better internal protection and a few other upgrades. Not that the eGo-T isn't good, but for the meager difference in price there isn't really a reason to not go the C route.

You can get both the pass-through and the Stardust from GotVapes. The vision ego CE4 is the same thing as the Stardust. So no need to go to two different vendors. And by the way the pass-through works extremely well, it's also a genuine joye product.

I have already purchased those CE4s, just waiting for them to arrive.

I was wondering what are some of the upgrades of the eGo-C over the eGo-T? I am finding more places that sell the T model, so I'm wondering now if I should get that over the C.

I can't remember exactly where it was posted, but I believe the post was by Kent C. They put in improved electronics for protection, something along those lines.

sequor yes that is what i was referring too, you are looking at the 1000mah model which will give you even longer run times think 10 hours on full charge...if you wanted to keep it smaller my vapor store has the 650 mah for 21.99

Also those stardusts are available from many other vendors and are simply known as the Vision eGo. You can get them about a buck cheaper.

A step up is the E-power. It uses an 18650 battery that requires a new, inexpensive charger, but gives you more vaping time at 3.7v instead of the 3.4v that the eGo gives you. That translates to a more flavorful vape with more vapor and batteries that cost about half of the eGo style proprietary batteries.

Just something to think about for the future. There's also the Kgo and many other mods.

Will throw my 2 bits in here as well. Am still going strong on the 650 mah and 1000 mah Ego passthru's that I bought mid-November. They still look and perform the way they did brand new. An excellent choice IMHO.

I also have an e-power and I can assure you having the ability to adjust the voltage like you can on the ego twist will definitely change the taste of your juice. I've tried the same juice in the same cartomizer on both and it's much more satisfying vaping at 4.0 V to 4.2 V then it is at 3.7 V that an e-power puts out. The other advantage at least for me in using the ego twist is the size and weight. It's very slim and lightweight and doesn't feel like a piece of plumbing.

PS My apologies I just realized this thread was about ego style PV's and not the ego twist. However, it's still a very good choice for someone looking for an Ego style PV.

I have not had very good luck with the ego-c attys they seem to either flood or don't wick properly, I had to do surgery on.7 and the draw is still weak and airy, the ego-t doesn't do that, I too ordered some ce4's they are cheaper than the t, and about the same as the c atty. I have the 650 and 1000 batteries can someone tell me how drip tips work and what all I need.

radejack, a drip tip is just a piece of metal or plastic that can be inserted onto an atomizer or cartomizer, i think originally the idea was you didnt have to take them off in order to direct drip onto an atomzer but i always remove mine as i dont want to get juice on the tip

if you are still smoking through those little rubber end caps, do yourself a huge favor and get a few drip tips, they are usually 2-4 bucks and most suppliers carry them in the accessories sections of their websites...make sure you get the right one for whatever you are planning to put them on...if you have an eGo you need 510 drip tips
