New user with a battery issue.

Hello all, new to ECF. I've been vaping for about two or three months now, and I absolutely love it.

Very quickly, I started with a simple evod kit, then moved up to an evod twist with an iclear 30s. Just this morning I started having issues with the twist and the iclear. All of a sudden, the twist wouldn't fire. With the iclear on, it will just blink five times when I attempt to use it.

I thought it might have been dead, as I had been using it all night. After I got up, I tried messing with it again after it had gotten a full charge. Still having the same issue.

To start my troubleshooting, I put the iclear 30s on my old evod battery, fired right up, no issues. Then, I put the old evod head on my evod twist. It fires properly.

I am totally baffled. Why will the iclear not work with twist all of a sudden? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check the 510 connector, the threaded post like bit on the bottom of your iClear.

Then look at the inside threaded bit of your twist. Perhaps compare it to that of your old evod battery. You'll notice on the inside of your battery connector, there is the threaded bit on the sides, then in the center a little raised circular area which is called your center pin.

Your iClear has also has an outer part and a center pin. You want your outer parts touching your outer parts and your center pins touching your center pins. If it looks as though one of your center pins may be making contact with an outer part, or vice versa, that's a bad thing.

but if your iclear works on one and not the other, and we know that the other battery is working, it leads me to believe that maybe there is something different about your twist connector than your old evod battery connector.

Maybe the twist's center pin is a little wider, and after a few times of screwing in your iclear extra tight on your twist, the 510 connector from your iclear dug in to the center post on your twist a little and now the center post touches the outer threads.

just a theory. :2c:
