I do not think disconnecting the battery would save any life...unless is is an automatic cigarette with no button. They tend to go off with air pressure changes. I would often have my pocket smoking (ghost vaping) at concerts. lol. A Joye 510 or joye e-roll may be a better choice. Even brands like panda cigs have been getting good reviews from reputable reviewers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SptSjNRaNus.. really if you want to keep with the smaller form factor do some research. Try to find a brand that has a 510 connection. This will keep your options open in the future and refilling as easy as possible, while being cheap. The e-lites you mentioned are not 510 threaded and you will be at the mercy of only buying e-lites compatible products most likely.

I wasted a bit of time and money before I found something that worked for me. Now there is this forum where you can find all this useful info. Use it to your advantage.

Good luck!

Hello & welcome John :)

I'm afraid nothing will help prolong the life of an e-lite battery :( They are way over priced & under perform. Plus you can't buy compatible parts elsewhere.

As Funkypunk says, you would do so much better buying an e-cig that is 510 threaded. And you would do even better if it's not a ciggie lookalike :)

Hi All,

Planning to kick the habit!
But have a couple of questions:

Looks easy to refill an E-lites Cartridge, but I am wondering if I should disconnect battery after use?
Will it help prolong the battery life if the cart. is disconnected after I use the E-lites ciggy?

TIA

Lytham2 aka John

Thanks for that.
As a total newcomer to E-smoking, a friend of mine said he'd had found it easy to refill these e-Cigs, so decided to have a go!
I'd a feeling that it was on/off due to air pressure, but not too sure, your reply has confirmed this!

Thanks for the help . . . .

Agreed. I found the ego twist and vision batteries with any tank/cartomizer outperformed any blu cig or comparable third party company. Those lasted me a long while.

You can refill an E-Lites. It'll vape even worse and then you'll start smoking again, if you ever stopped in the first place.

I despair. They are simply terrible in every way. Lots of people say "they got me off the fags, so I won't hear bad words"...but I say "they never got me off tobacco and took my money with claims of nicotine and puffs comparable to "40" cigarettes.

:(
