Using the nice tracking system provided with my order of a Vamo v3, I see that it should be out for delivery this afternoon. It will be my first APV. I have been perusing the Vamo forum here looking at tips, trouble shooting, etc. I did want to point one thing out as a way of asking a questions - why are all the threads here about problems? Is it that finicky, spotty, troubled?

Can we use this tread to talk about the good stuff in anticipation of my new arrival? :vapor:

The Vamo 3 screen and UI are fantastic. Someone was thinking! :) I'm NOT impressed with others for my use. Way to complex and way to much navigation. Go ahead and flame me. I can take it. LOL

For example, if your daily rotation includes a number of different juices and you don't own say 5 mods all ready to go then your going to be changing tanks. T2 or iClear 30 in my case. Three or 4 times a day and each juice has a slightly different sweet spot via the watts setting. How many other Mods of any cost can perform the following in my example:

One click (NOT Fire) to see your current watts setting

One click (NOT Fire) on the button next to the screen to lower or raise the watts!

Of course, if you only vape one juice during the day or have a boatload of other mods ready to go with your daily rotation then my joy and love of the UI means nothing to you. :)

I got the V3 for my first APV. I had a defect from the factory, there is a thread on this board about it, but it still worked fine. I got a Sigelei V3 to use while in the meanwhile since its going to take a bit to deal with the return/exchange since it was with fasttech and i dont have a mailing address till sometime next month. I have to agre with Senior Boy on the menu. The menu on the vamo is really user friendly, and adjusting the power is really easy. The menu is 10x more user friendly than the Sigelei. The vamo is very user friendly and very intuitive. I like it a lot. But the Sigelei menu is starting to grow on me. Im getting used to it more and more. My vamo is packed up in storage since i cant really do anything with returning it until i have an address.

If you notice the majority of threads about everything are about problems. There's no need to ask for help if you're not having a problem.

The closest to a problem I've had with my V2 is yesterday I was vaping along, the screen lit and it was off. I can't imagine I clicked the button 5 times fast enough to shut it off but I guess it thought I did. That's nowhere near the electronic quirks I've had with my eVic.
Got a V3 on the way.

This is true. I did note to myself that normal people don't post in mod specific forums unless they have a question/problem - expect the provari forum where it's backslaps and self-congratulations everyday. :) (I'm just poking fun)

I just wanted to see some interesting posts on the good stuff here as I await delivery.

The good stuff is I have a couple of tobacco liquids. One plugs up coils pretty quick. The other is instant and an eGo-C coil killer (seems to pop the solder, but if it doesn't they need cleaned fast) a carto killer (2 fills if you're lucky).
With a Vamo and a Vivi Nova I was able to go through multiple tanks by simply cranking up the wattages to heat up the blob on the coil. Normally I vape around 6w, with this stuff I end up cranking it up to 12w, not a problem. Can't do that on my eVics, could probably come close enough at 11w but 12w is better.

Whenever my V3 package arrives I have some drippers along with it. I'll be testing it with dual coils.

So it came and so far it is rocking. I'm getting a better vape on all my delivery systems - it seems with less power even. I like the menu, the feel, just about everything so far.

One question, say I set my watts at 7w. how do you get it to display the volts it chooses for you? Hope I worded that correctly.

I'm not sure about the V3 but you don't on the V2, if you switch between VW and VV it will resent to the lowest.

I have the Vamo V2 SS model. (Link is below in case anyone is looking around)
$51.96 Vamo-Vivi Stainless Steel Voltage Adjustable E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Have NO issues with it at all. It's an AWESOME device, at a GREAT price for us seasoned beginners.

TIP:: Recommend you pick up some Ideal Noalox aluminum compound from Lowes, Ace Hardware, or Home Depot. This adds a little protection to your threads on ALL of your devices, and it also makes the battery contact better. Just put a dab on a Q-Tip, and swirl it on the threads. A dab or two goes a long way.

$3.27 at Lowes.
Shop IDEAL .05-Oz. Tube Noalox Anti-Oxidant at Lowes.com

Ordered my V3 from FT and should be shipping on Friday...very excited! My first purchase using Fasttech and my first APV! Hopefully with the vamo/protank and my egotwist/EVOD I should be set for a while and not be inclined to spend more $$$

Enjoying my new arrival very much. The Protank works very well. I feel set on devices now. May get some new delivery devices but those won't cost too much. It took 8 days from Fast Tech through CA to SC. Not bad.

I did make a mistake when dry burning a T3 head tonight on the vamo. Forgot to turn it down and popped a coil I think. So much power. Ha.

Wrong my friend!
You'll probably want to get into Rewicking the Protank, and EVOD.
That leads to another world.
The world of -- Silica Wick; Stainless Steel Mesh; Kanthal 28 through 32 gauge wire; and ... blow torches!

You have the v3 yes? Are you in voltage or wattage? If set to wattage it will display how many watts, not how many volts is being produced to make said power. But you can get it to display the battery voltage. I would toy with mine to see what all i can get it to display but its in a box in a storage unit at the moment.
