Hello Everyone,
I've been lurking several weeks but this is my first post. Bought a pen style from Puresmoker, vaping 3 weeks and completly off analogs for 7 days. I smoked about a pack of lights a day for the past 13 years. Switching to vaping was very easy for me. It took me two weeks to get up the kahones to ditch the analogs, but when I did it was pretty un-dramatic.
I've tried pretty much every way to quit smoking in the past. Chantix, every kind of NRT, wellbutrin, I thought I was hopelessly addicted. My last attempt wit chantix was the most successful, but after a few months I was closet smoking again. The whole ordeal had taken its toll on my self esteem. I am thankful to have found vaping.
I want to have a kid soon so I will be tapering down to 0 nic. I'm very confident now that I can do this now thanks to vaping.
A couple of random observations..
I thought I would like liquid that tasted most closely to cigs but after a few days I found that I much prefer fruity flavors and menthol. I was never a menthol smoker.
Before when I needed an analog there was this fiending feeling I would get where it would completly overtake my thoughts until I had my fix. I've noticed with vaping that the feeling I get when I need nicotine is different. I feel a little anxious and foggy feeling but it's nothing like it used to be with analogs. Makes me think there is truth to there being other powerful addictive substances in analogs.
Vaping in public is a great conversation starter. Most of the time I have fun with it. Sometimes I wish it were more known about because I don't want to have that conversation EVERY time I vape. Sometimes I just want to get your fix and go on. I hate to be rude though.... So far Ive handled it by just hiding when I feel that way .. vaping in the bathroom for instance instead of going outside.
