new vaper - how do I tell when a cart is empty?

Hello all, brand new vaper here - just got a vapure starter kit last night. Love it so far.

One of my cartridges though has already started to have a funny burnt kind of taste. Does that mean the cart is empty? It doesn't seem like I've used it enough yet to be empty.

Yes the funny "gawd awlful" burnt taste is a good indicator that your cart is on the dry side...Time to top off or change your cart.

couldn't have answered it better myself. A loss of the the flavor or vapor are always good indicators to add juice no matter cart, carto, dripping of juice-fed.

Just refill or swap carts at the first sign of that burnt taste, otherwise it might stay there for good and the cart will be ruined.

Or the juice in the cartridge is not wicking properly to the atomizer. Be sure the top of the filler in the inner cart is at the top of the inner cart. Also, when you get the burnt taste, it's a good idea to drip a couple of drops of juice into the atomizer (at the time you refill the inner cart with juice). The atomizer always needs to be wet, or you'll get the burnt taste.

Like above said, NASTY taste. But even before that for me when starting to go dry, midway threw my "draw" it literally feels as if its burning my throat

Funny, I've actually grown to admire that toot, the one just before I need to drip, it just does something for me. Still vapor, not an atty puff; but hotter, drier . . . I don't know.

I switched to dripping because that is basically what I was doing with carts. I would add 3 drops to the cart and reinsert. Now I don't get the accidental plastic puff too.

Ok, thanks for all the responses for such a total newbie question. One thing I'm wondering though is: what are you actually tasting when you taste that burned flavor? Is the dry atty actually burning itself up? Cause it doesn't seem like it could be very good for you to inhale burning metal fumes.

Better than burning carcinogenics. I'm not sure exactly what happens, but from my short experience, you just know it's getting dry. Like others have said, the vapor gets hotter and feels dryer because there is less water vapor, etc. You probably would never take it to the point that there was absolutely nothing on the atty. My best advice would be to just read and read through the threads posted here - anything that catches your attention. You will learn a lot just from osmosis.
