How long have you been vaping on your tank before you started getting a burn flavor?
There are many reasons a vape will taste burnt. Once a atomizer has been used for awhile it will start to get gunked up, and start to not perform, can also give a burnt flavor when enough juice isn't getting wicked. Needs to be cleaned, changed, replaced or rebuilt.
Often a new vaper won't allow sufficient time for a new wick to become fully saturated with juice before taking that first vape and scorch the wick, reducing its capacity to wick, and shortening coil/wick life.
Also if running more volts/watts through the coil then the atty can wick you'll get dry/burnt hits. The best way to get a consistent great vape is proper maintenance of ones vape gear. Getting a regulated mod is a good investment but is no guaranty that it will improve ones vape without the proper care and knowledge that goes with all the aspects of vaping.
First figure out why your atomizer is not performing correctly and how to get the best performance out if it or another changeable coil head atomizer like the Nautilus. With every atomizer, whether changeable or re-buildable, one must properly maintain their gear to get the best vape possible.
