Hi ECF!

I've been reading this forum for a week now, ordered an eGo-T 5 days ago from Ecoesmoking.com and some flavours + pg and vg from flavourart.it

Now, since my biggest habbit in smoking is the visual habbit of playing with the smoke, i thought i might be able to quit the analogues without any nicotine in my juice. Then i thought, will this have any noticable effect with my vapor/th?

I want to make my own juice cause i love the fiddling with all the different flavours and mixes to make a juice thats perfect for me :p it also makes for a good time killer when you are hungering for those analogues i guess :p

All advice is apprieciated since i am a newbie in this.

Having no nicotine will reduce TH. Nicotine is the main (some say the only) source of TH in eliquids. However, Flavourart sells an additive called QHit which supposedly can add some kind of hit to a juice.

No nicotine should not affect your vapor. VG affects vapor - more VG generally = more vapor

Flavoring can affect throat sensation - you are more likely to feel flavors like menthol. mint. cinnamon and other spices, pepper, ginger.

So far i have purchased apple, pineapple, spearmint, peppermint, redbull, some vanillin crystal and as said the pg and vg.

Obviously i dont want to have a cigarette taste since i find the taste of them to be a necessary evil of smoking.

i might order some of that QHit you are talking about next time to try, but have read you can also increase TH with either normal vodka or some PGA (pure grain alcohol)?

It has been my (limited) experience that nic free juices have almost no throat hit. Alcohol(everclear or high proof vodka) is supposed to add a little throat hit, and the Qhit flavor from Flavour Art is supposed to, as well. Search for Qhit throat hit, and you should be able to find some reviews. OneStopDiyShop.com has this and everything else you'll need, and I had a good experience with them.

Ill look into that QHit thing, right now im just a wee bit worried about the delivery of my parcil, since i havent gotten any confirmation from the site yet and i am not getting any replies on my message, the money has been withdrawn from my bank account so ill just have to wait and see. Probably just me being impatient x)

Also if anyone could tell me what amount of nicotine i should be going for if i decide to buy some anyways. I smoke around 20 analogues a day.

Edit: Typo

PGA, vodka, e-liquid ingrediants have little impact on TH. Maybe 2%. 98% of TH comes from more battery power (warmth of the vapor) and nicotine strength. You might be one of the few who doesn't care for much throat hit and 0 nicotine will work fine for you. There were many posts in late 2009 where members switched to 5 volt PV's when they were still rare and decreased their nicotine strength due the much better TH on 5 volt PV's and didn't need the extra nic for TH.

From all the polls on this and other sites, there are more users of 24mg strength than any other level. It is a good starting off point for the new vaper. Most new vapers need that level initially at least to make the transition. You can then decrease or increase over time based on your own needs.

Glad you are trying to get off the analogs. I am just worried somewhat that perhaps
0 nic at first, might not help that much when getting off the analogs.
You might tapper down to that after a few weeks, but I would
suggest 24 at first and then 18 and reduce on down. You can reduce your 24
or 18 or whatever nic strength down with the addition of the PG.
Throat hit was real important to me. I have 2 units. One Riva a 510 unit and one
Provape a 3.7 unit with LR cartomizers. I only get the throat hit that I need,
with the larger battery Provape unit. Not enough power in the Riva.... for me anyway.
Nic strength does add to the TH as well. I do add PGA (everclear) and that does help as well.
If you don't get the satisfaction from the unit you have coming, then I would highly suggest
that you move up to a 3.7 or higer unit which will help get what you are desiring.

Good Luck and hope it works well for you. Let us know if you need help in any way.
