Congrats! it's been a little over 3 weeks w/o smoking for me. I noticed though, I'm vaping way, way more than I was smoking. I guess sometimes you could call it chain vaping. I'm trying to tell myself this is ok. is it? I'm hoping because I'm new to it, it will eventually die down at least a little. Have any of you veterans experienced the same thing, like constantly vaping when you first started and now down to a normal level, whatever that is? I'm seriously wondering if I'm vaping too much. I also caught a cold after I quit, so it's not like I'm feeling the healthy benefits of quitting smoking. still little congested. sorry, if this is off, but just thought a new vaper, like me, and hopefully the op would like to hear from the long time vapers.

I too have noticed that I chain vape these things. I am largely unconcerned as the amount of nicotine injusted does not equal what it was with regular smokes. Average pack of cig have around 20-25mg nicotine. Though the nic juice can be comparable if you are hitting some high concentrations, the volitization of nicotine is not absorbed as readily as combusted nic and the rest of the thousands of chemical shiites notwithstanding, of course.

Chief it up!!

You will be better off.

Actually, while you are correct, it's for different reasons. It's assumed (maybe proven) that, with cigarettes, we only absorb 10% of the amount of nicotine in a cigarette. There is about 10mg in each cigarette. Meaning we only absorb 1mg per cigarette. So, since we inhale vapor much like smoking a cigarette, many people assume we absorb around the same amount, 10%. So, if you vape 10ml of 24mg/ml strength nic liquid, we can assume (not proven) that we would take in 24mg of nicotine. Which is about the same as a pack of cigarettes.

With that said, there is no proof (other than the leathal dosage (20mg of pure nicotine)) that nicotine is anymore harmful than caffeine (lethal dosage is 150mg of that). So other than reaching lethal dosage (through vaping I would get sick well before the lethal dosage), I honestly don't care if I chain vape all day. I don't want to quit nicotine, at the moment. Also, I am vaping cheaper than smoking and have what 4000 less carcinogens in my system each time? :)

Just my .02cents!
