New vapoholic! (with LOTS of questions)

Hey everyone, I just recently took the plunge (Monday) and bought my first (real, not throw away) Ecig, and absolutely love it! I have some questions though...the box is black, and the inside box slides out of the outer box, and on the top of the outer box all it says is "eGo - K", then on the bottom has a 1100 mah sticker....so my question is what brand is it? It came with 2 batteries, 2 clear "clearomizers", wall charger and usb charger. I have done tons of research before I made the purchase, but I am just wondering what brand is everything? And what ohms does my clearo put out or receive or whatever, like 2.4 or 2.7 or what? It came with a 30ml bottle of Newport ejuice, which taste really, REALLY close to a real one which surprised me, but I'm wondering what mg the nicotine content is? I am also finding all sorts of different statistics on the net about the battery, and really would like to know what the stats are for mine....anyways sorry for the long post, but some help would be awesome! The performance is fantastic, lots of vapor and excellent throat hit, no leaks (knock on wood lol), and haven't even used the 2nd clearomizer cause im waiting till I get another flavor of juice...but all and all no complaints at all, would recommend it to anyone and everyone, matter of fact i have already! Oh yeah, also my juice turns dark in the clearomizer after I put it in there, whats up with that? It tastes the same as the very first time i filled it...

I've done a little research on the Ego-K since I have one (900mah laser etched from Smoktek). The K stands for King and they are not official Joyetech but rather a China clone. Mine works just as well as my 900mah joyetech though so don't worry to much about it being off brand. The battery should output 3.7-4.2v, not sure about the clearo questions though hopefully someone can help you with those.

You say your juice turns dark after you put it in. I don't know about that. What i do know is that after vaping about one and a half mil, "backwash" from the wick makes existing liquid in the tank go murky. I call it backwash but it is just vapour getting drawn back into the tank. That's usually how liquids turn dark, they also thicken and the taste fades away. What i do with my kanger T3 clearomiser is only half fill it so the liquid isn't in there long enough to get murky. That and change the coil head before every refill. Works for me !

it sounds like you got a decent kit to start out on which is a good thing since you seem to have gotten a clone. I bought an ego clone kit after my eRoll and the batts didnt last to long. Some of your questions cant be answered like what nic strength your juice is and what ohms your clearos are rated at (unless you hook it up to an ohm meter or a friends mod that reads ohms) what you will have to do eventually is by a new delivery system once your supplied clearos go out (there are TONS to try but as far as clearos go i like ViVi Novas) once you buy new ones you will be able to tell what ohms they are because you will be able to choose. same with the juice. As you dive into the proverbial sea of juice vendors, you will come across options of nic strenth and pg/vg ratio. If you get addicted to vapeing like the majority of us I give you a max of 4 weeks before you are ready to ditch the Ego and start searching for your first mod!

Yeah I guess I could have put that differently...the liquid doesn't darken till about half way through the tank(I fill up in the morning and empty at night..is that wise?)...so it probably is that backwash you are talking about...yeah I'm already eyeing a mini nova because I've heard good things about them, plus it comes with 3 different heads or cooks or replaceable attys or whatever they are to choose from, which is a plus since they are 3 different strengths....I'm gonna use that as my experimental stepping stone on my way to a vv so I can get a good idea of what different ohm and voltage does

It's a Smok Tek 1100 mah and fires @ 3.7 volts.
100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge is needed. Although a clone it is a very good product. one of the best in the eGo class and is manufactured by a large and reputable company.

2 clear "clearomizers",

You either have Stardust clearomizers- one type is rebuildable, can be taken apart the the head (wick and coil) replaced. The earlier Stardust cannot be replaced and is disposable. Here's the rebuildable- note the knurled bottom dial:

Your PV fires @ 3.7 volts so a good ohms delivery device (holds and vaporizes the juice) would be 1.7- 2.4. The lower the ohms the warmer the vape.

The juice burns on to the coil and eventually a deposit of gunk ends up on the coil. When your fresh juice hits this "gunk" it washes away and darkens your juice. Eventually you'll have to wash the wick and dry burn the coil otherwise a foul taste will occur.
As I've said the Smok Tek eGo class batts are a good start. Clearos can be a hassle. When you're ready to move up think about trying the Vision brand Mini Vivi Nova. It's rebuildable, gives a far superior vape and is a very economical way to vape.
