New VaporFi Edge - Can't get no vapes!

Howdy chaps!

I've just received my Vaporfi Edge, and can't for the life of me get the thing going. It seems the wick never saturates, it crackles like crazy (I mean it crackles LOUD - not like the occasional little crackle you normally hear from time to time - LOUD!!) and produces almost no vapor. I'm used to a $30 chinese device (my past 3 ecigs) doing much much better with pretty much the same juice.

I've tried using it with a half full tank, 3/4 full, and filled right to the top of the thin part of the centre tube. I've also left it for an hour to saturate. I'm using 70%PG/30%VG (also from vaporfi) so it's not particularly thick and should be soaking in easily. I've followed the setup instructions to a tee. I've also cleaned the entire device, left to dry, and attempted all of the above again, but no good so far.

I'm sort of lost as to what to try next. Have sent VaporFi support a mail but nothing back.

While I usually love a good game of Guess the Original Manufacturer, not really feeling it today. But I will leave you with the knowledge that there's a 99% chance someone else made the Edge for VF, and that you can probably find the device by the original manufacturer for much cheaper.
