I found out about e-cigarettes recently, I was somewhat skeptical of how it would be using vapor to deliver my nicotine versus smoking. I had been trying to quit for about 5 years (since I was 18) and tried atleast 300 times, but when it all boiled down, I just enjoy the effects of nicotine so much I didn't feel like I could live without it. I started with Blu about a week ago, I knew it wasn't going to cut it but I did realize the potential. Then, I did some real research and bought a joyetech Ego Passthru with a Drip Tip and some 26mg liquids from Cignot, I got them today and I discovered that I like this better than smoking real cigarettes! Wow, this is amazing. Not only am I going to save a bundle of money, but this may save years of my life, as well as no more smell, ash trays, and all the other negative things!

hi imagine7 and welcome to ECF. I also started with a Blu, and like you I thought "vaping is pretty cool, but this product just isn't cutting it"....my next was the Joye eGo and I've been loving life ever since. I'm thinking about ordering the passthru too since I spend most of my day in front of a computer anyway.

Don't get too excited yet about saving money....i'm going to start a thread someday and call it "Vaping: The saving money myth" LOL. Of course I only say that because I spent a ton of money on juice, extra atty's, extra carts...mostly cuz i live in fear of finding myself out of atty's and going back to smoking. Now that i'm finding my "sweet spot" with flavors and vendors, I hope the "saving money" part really starts to happen for me.

Anyway, welcome to ECF and I hope the vaping works out for you. Keep us posted on your success.

Tobacco smoking is such a strong addiction I lamented that I would never quit after a 19-year habit. When I found out about the e-cigarettes I just knew that this was going to be the answer for me!

I quit cigarettes on the first day of using an e-cig -- Joye eGo -- and I was surprised that vaping was far more pleasant than smoking ever was.

No more smoke residue building up in my house. No more stinky ashtrays. No more cigarette smell on my clothes or hands. No lighters to worry about. No more cigarettes to buy.

And ... no more GUILT about wanting to quit and feeling bad everytime I was reminded by the news media how bad smoking was. I knew it was bad but I just didn't know how to go about quitting and it wasn't from lack of trying.

An additional point. My appetite has not increased which is a side-effect of quitting smoking. The nicotine I am pretty sure is an appetite supressant and to be perfectly honest, if I have to use e-cigs for the rest of my life I would still feel I am far better off than smoking tobacco.

I currently use 18mg juices and if I can use lower ones I will. If I find that I cannot completely give up nicotine then I don't think I will be too bad off. The main thing is to quit the tobacco, and that is what e-cigs have done for me.

I am at last free of all tobacco and am quite content to use my e-cig as a relatively safer substitute.

Looking forward to this thread lol But it ain't that bad, it is a little bit cheaper than buying regular analogs after a few months unless you bought them from the reserve.
