Ok now I read on another thread that the 2.0 is just a new body design but it does say 4 amp switch so now i'm all confused. One place is calling it a 2.0 and another a 3.0 I think I am going to wait til they offer chrome.

I wouldn't "buy" into version numbers too much just look at features and amp limits..the chrome ones should be out around the end of the month or so :)

Just a small technical note: The LT v3.0 does not have a "4A switch." It has a "4-Amp Limit" for current in the overall circuitry. In most chip-regulated VV mods, the switch is wired to the regulator chip's circuit board in such a way that it never gets more than mere milliamps---a miniscule amount of current.

Higher-current switches---4.0A, 5.0A, whatever---are used in unregulated mods, where all the current in the circuit flows through the switch.

Send these out to reviewers or I won't buy one. I know its a Chinese mod and you aren't hiding that by not saying it... we pretty much all know it.

Send a kit to Phil Busardo and get his reccomendation if you want this to go any further than, "Well, another cheap L-Rider revision".

I got my VariTube X a few days ago from iVape. Much better than the original, don't have to do mental gymnastics when I go to put something on it. It handles the DC cartos much better. The end caps are better too, unless you want to drip, there is no drip well on top. I like being able to check resistance of what I put on it and it seems to be really accurate. I've only got two negatives so far and they are minor. First the tube is badged with VaritubeX logo and second the bottom cap doesn't have many threads on it going in the tube. Fit and finish is nice, the three small buttons seem a bit higher than on my original tube and that makes them easier to use. The LCD screen is the same size but the type is smaller because the battery meter takes up some real estate. Over all a nice upgrade and if you're getting one for the first time the new version is worth the price difference. Both of mine are black, I forgot to mention.

I bit the bullet and bought one. I can also notice a difference with the new 4a limit. This product does use Pulse-width-modulation for those who are wondering why their ShanB and Madvapes meters won't read anything off of it but basically it vapes like the VMAX or the SVR if it had actual freehand regulation.

I got around ten hours with the included 18650 batteries out of mine and I was nearly chain-vaping it yesterday. Who knows what strange demonic battery life you would get with a good 2250mah Panasonic IMR 18650.
