new version of Provari anytime soon????

Hello everyone, a noob here.

Started vaping about 4 months ago on a V4L (yes, yes, I know, I just didn't know any better... ). But I did manage to quit the analogs (after 30+ years), and also to reduce my nicotine in the juice from 2.2 to 0.4...

So a couple of weeks ago I found this forum... I bet you can guess the rest... I have a bunch of juice and an MVP 2.0 coming in the mail, already have the AeroTank and a Protank 3.0

My question is about the Provari. I definitely see myself getting one pretty soon, as I'm not sure I'm quite ready to to the mechanical route just yet.

So are there any rumors about them coming out with a new version any time soon, or should I pull the trigger on 2.5?

Also, what is really the difference between the regular and the Mini version? Just size?

Rumors are all over. there was a pbusardo video from last month (i believe) where he actually was vaping a provari 3 (off camera). So a prototype exists at least, I wouldn't imagine it would be more than a few weeks/months out.

As far as the size is concerned, the mini's are noticeably smaller, but YMMV depending on battery options. There's no other functional difference between them.

There is a v3 coming before too long. The question is, why do you want one? Is there something specific you are wanting to get from it that you aren't getting from the MVP? Have you researched other vv\vw mods like DNA 30 based mods, SX350 based mods, etc. etc?

Don't get me wrong. My first vape was a Provari.

Congrats on getting away from the real deal AND your purchase of the MVP 2.0! I think you will be very happy.

Now, from what I have gathered, Provape is in fact planning on releasing a new version of the ProVari, but are very hush on specifics, including a proposed release date. Provape won't release this new product until it is flawless in every way. I think it's safe to assume that this new ProVari will be a vw mod, so if you're a fan of vw (who isn't, right? lol), then you may want to wait and see (I also wouldn't be surprised if they make it able to fire sub-ohm atty's, similar to what the Sigelei 20W can do). I own the MVP 2.0 and ProVari 2.5, and although they are two totally different mods from opposite ends of the track, they're both the best in their class (IMO of course). I think you will be very happy with your MVP, and it should be more than enough to suit most of your vaping needs while you wait and see about the ProVari, if you choose to do so.

P.S. As already stated by another poster, the difference between the mini and the regular ProVari is the overall size of the device and size of the battery they can take. The mini uses a 18350 bat with the ability to use a 18490 with an extension cap (sold separately). The regular uses a 18490/18500 with the ability to use a 18650 with the extension cap.

I would wait for a newer version to come out. With all the new regulated devices coming on to the market, there are currently so many better options than a provari 2.5, and for $180, you could definitely get a good vw device that will run circles around the provari. The Seven 22 is a great option for a lot cheaper, and if you end up getting into rebuildables, you can still build lower than 1 ohm on that device, so you will end up getting a lot more use out of it.

Differences between the mini vs regular: already covered a couple times. MVP?: Great little mod. In fact its my go too device if I'm going somewhere that I could see my provari getting damaged such as hiking, pool etc... Buy now or wait?: Now that is a tough question and I think it really comes down to your finances. For some people spending 180 on a mod would be very challenging and others not so much. The current version is a great device that meets all of my daily vape needs 100%. Also I personally suspect that when the new one does come out it will be hard to get at first. So if you can afford one now then in a few months another after the hype has died down a bit I say go for it. If funds are a bit tighter then wait and see. My

I like the 2.5 provari and have one. I am waiting for the 3 in order to get a good deal on some used 2.5s. I prefer to vape at higher ohms and "reasonable" power levels and the 2.5 is just fine for that.

I always liked the quality of my provari but after the factory tour by pbasardo I am really impressed.

Decide what you want a mod to do and if the provari will do it then you can not go wrong. IMHO

Got my first 2 APV's last week A iJUst VV with matching 3.7 Tank and as mentioned above a Siegeli 20 Watt( $65@E-Cloud Vapes}. Got a 26650 tube coming from Varitube for the 20W-but e-bay has a complete set of tubes 16350,16500 and 26650 for $18

Until you venture into rebuildable atomizers, there is no better option out there than the provari, IMO. There are a lot of devices out there, with capabillities that are more than the provari can provide. The provari is currently limited to 3.5 amps and 15 watts, there are however, no regulated mods out there that I am aware of that have the proven track record of durability and reliability that the provari has.

Unless I am very much mistaken (and it's happened more than once ) Provape have specifically stated that if you are a sub-ohmer, their new product will be of no interest to you - see the Provape videos on Phil Busardos youtube channel for direct quotes.

The mini can be extended to use the 18650 AW battery by the use of a Tatroe ring with the ProVari extension cap. Have 3 minis and love them dearly, but my first ecig was the MVP, version 1. Have since gotten two more MVP's V2 'cause I like the feel, length of battery time, and can't get over my very first infatuation!

My guess is it will be months until v.3.0 is released, and I imagine the first couple runs will sell out quickly. If you need one now, I would get it. I recently bought another 2.5, but I will also but a v.3.0 when they are released. Do some research on ProVari and you will see why it is such a popular device...
