I've got the eVic and I really enjoy it , don't really see too many people talking about it as I lurk the boards though. I also have a smaller mod for out and about though. I enjoy the controls and such and my battery life is great compared to my older set up.

I see people talking about 20-50 watts , why would you ever need to go that high ?

Hey everyone thanks for the replies! I've narrowed it down to the ipv2 for box mods and the p3 for tube style. After looking into the ipv2 as per your suggestions, it seems like it can do it all and then some. Lots of room for growth as well should I ever get into rebuildable attys. It's also only $99! I have ruled out the MVP2 because because price isn't really what is going to make or break my decision. I don't mind spending more if the extra benefits justify the price difference and the IPV2 definitely is an awesome bang for the buck. I personally feel the cost is definitely justified in this case. I already have an Xtar VP2 charger and many 18650 batteries for my flashlights so that wouldn't be an additional cost to consider.
As for the P3, even though the wattage isn't nearly as high, and the price is considerably more, it's the hardcore build quality that everyone raves about that really appeals to me. If the P3 is built anything like the previous versions, then it should be a very high quality product from what I gather.
It's a very tough choice for me. If I do decide to go with the P3, I'm pretty sure it will be the last mod I purchase for good while. So I'm just trying make sure it's the best choice for me.
I'm certainly opened to suggestions and opinions!

I honestly have no idea. But my way of thinking right now is that somewhere down the line, it may be useful. Like future proof I suppose? I'm thinking it can't hurt to have a device capable of those wattages as long as it does what I want it to do right now. And perhaps I'll discover the benefits of 50w at some point. A lot of people seem to want a device with those capabilities so I'm guessing they are useful for something. I'm still learning...
