Hey guys. So ive had really crappy luck with ecigs. I started with a joye 510. batteries burned out. Moved on to a screwdriver mod. Switch broke. Went to an ego. Batteries shorted out when liquid seeped in from a leaky ego-t tank system. Bought another ego and used the ce4 clearomizers. Clearomizers were giving dry hits and tasting horrible after only a couple days if that in some cases. Checked my battery on a digital multimeter and it was pumping out 10 volts...so bought my current setup!

Lambo l-rider 2.0 variable voltage mod. And a vivi mini nova. The 3.5 ml one with rebuildable atty heads. Ive gone through all 3 of the atomizers it came with. I settled on the 1.8 ohm atomizer. It tasted the best and used it at the lowest setting of 3.0 volts. The 2.4 was 3.5v and the 2.8 was 3.7 volts. So now im getting an almost chemicaly taste from it. Its not given a single dry hit which im thankful for but the liquid has also turned completely black. What the heck is going on? Where do i buy a good tank that lasts? Im so sick of wasting money here... I just want to enjoy my vape for more than a day or two before they go to crap. I am really losing confidence in these things. Ive spent so much money and gotten so little pleasure. 61521_10151312981582554_1449874400_n.jpg625580_10151312718887554_567928895_n.jpg

If you are looking for a rebuildable tank that isn't plastic I would recommend the Kanger Protank. It's a bit on the airy side but if that's a problem for you there is an tank airflow controller that works really well on the Protank.

The chemical taste could be from the plastic leaching into your juice or from your silica wick if you didn't burn it first. I've heard yes and no about whether silica should be burned before using so I'm undecided about that.

Hi Lymsleia! 10 v battery??? Wow!

Vision ViVi Novas are liked by some, disliked by others, like most everything else in the vaping world. There is a learning curve with any device you buy, so don't give up too early. I have a Vision ViVi mini and it works fine, even though it's not my favorite head. I prefer Kanger clearomizers, like Kanger T3 or eVod (bottom coil) or T2 (top coil). Give them a try.

You didn't tell us how often you replace coils on your ViVi nova and if it is a genuine Vision ViVi Nova--the SmokTech version is not as good as the Vision. Coils need to be replaced often, especially if you're using thick, dark, sweet juices, as seems to be the case here. The unvaporized particles from your eliquid gunk up the atomizer coil and that gunk interferes with proper functioning of your head. It may also discolor fresh juice you put in your tank. PG is a solvent, and it dissolves at least some of the caramelized crud on your coil thus darkening your fresh juice. I change coils as soon as I notice juice darkening in my tank. You may also be burning your juice if your wattage is too high or you have a small leak somewhere near the heating coil. Dirty coils can be cleaned by soaking them in vodka or PGA and dry burning, if necessary.

Here's a very good video that may help you understand how to use your tanks. I'm not suggesting rebuilding, those coils are inexpensive so I never bother, but it's a very good instructional video:
