So got my vmax yesterday. Got new batteries from supertmanufacturing today and I throw then in the vmax it all lights up. Put on a boge carto and set the voltage to 4 volts. Press the button and the carto makes no noise. Try my maptank. No noise. Tried a atomizer. Nothing.

Went into the menu system and if I'm reading it right the batteries have 7.8v left. It's not giving me anything on the atty/carto ohms or resistance menu. When I press the button it says 9.9o. Not sure what that is. Someone help!

Your carto is not making contact or it's dead if its reading 99 ohms ...try pulling the center post out a little on the bottom of the carto...if that dosen't work try pulling the post up on the VMax just a little bit...be carefull not to pop the center pins out of your carto or VMax.

If you try to pull the Center Pole up on the Vmax, do it with the Batteries Out of the tube.

What should I use to pull it up with ?do I twist it or just pull straight up? Does it stay?

If it was Brand New, I wouldn't do anything until you check it with a Volt Metter.

If you don't have one, ask your Friends, Family or People at work if they have one and can check your VMax for you. It takes about 30 seconds to test. Just remeber to have the batteries in it if you take it to someone to test.

If it isn't the center pole being pushed down and the mess with it, the place where you bought it might not want to replace it.

So when I test the resistance it always tells me 9.9o. I can here it making a slight noise when I fire up the attys/cartos but no vaper or heat. I pull Down the center of the carto. When I screw it on and then remove it again the center is pushed back up. So I believe it's making contact. It also has some resistance before its fully screwed on. So I imagine there's contact. If the batteries are showing 8.1-8.2v that means they are fully charged right? Oh and my attys/cartos are working on my ego.

now im totally ignorant here and these fine folks will likely be able to help you better
but my wife had the same problem with her fake lavatube and it turned out she had a amp limit

when she would put on a low resistance cart and crank up the voltage
it would go over the amp limit and the thing wouldnt work

just a thought

Unfortunately I do not have any adapters. When I was putting on my ce2 maptank I pushed the bottom out quite a bit. I held firm pressure on the ce2 as I screwed it onto the vmax and it pushed the ce2 back up as I hit the half way point of screwing it on. So it's definitely making contact. Hope that made sense.

I've tried it at 3 volts so I don't think it's the amp limit. Ugh I'm so mad. The thing I'm worried about is I got it from ecigma and last I heard ecigma was shutting down so I don't even know if they have more in stock. Argh
I would contact them on return policy asap. In the meantime if you could find a adapter-even a 510 to ego adapter to see. Or if you had other type of carts or attys you could try.

alright so fifth time is the charm. lol Last night I adjusted the center pin multiple times. no luck. This morning I adjusted it twice and finally, it works!!!!! Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

I just find it weird that i could screw it on half way, then push the ce2 center down til i feel it hit the center post and then tighten it the rest of the way and it wouldnt work but if i pull up the center post 5 times it finally began to work. weird. but again thank you to everyone! im at work now so i havent gotten to test it too much. (I cant vape at my desk :( )

welp, update. I removed my tank to refill. put it back on and would not make connection. so i tried a few attys and cartos still nothing. so I adjusted the center pin slightly still nothing. I went to adjust it again and the center pin pretty much came all the way out. so im effed.

what should i do now? fix it myself or send it back. do I even have the option of sending it back? If I cant how do i take it apart to fix myself? Is it possible to purchase new pins and gaskets?

I dunno if you can send it back or not? I would contact who you got it from and ask. I would also down play anything to do with Fixing it yourself when you talk to them. I would just say it stopped working and when you unscrewed the Atty that the Center pole was lose and when you touched it, it came off.

So. I had take apart my vmax to resolder the center pin wire and now all it does is restart, constantly. Any clues as to what could be happening?

I'm thinking maybe the center pin is grounding out on the center hole. The silicone seal is in place but it's ripped. Anyone know something i can use as a replacement?
