Got my new silver 650 battery, after getting a dud first time around. No hassle, no attitude, just nice people wanting to help.
Now-how do I love it? What can I say after-wow. I mean WOW! It's really perfect. You use it plugged in at home, then pop it off and go with a perfectly charged battery.
I won't be going back to the regular batts, I'm just waiting impatiently for the colors. And the bigger cartos.
Falling in love with SI all over again!!

I felt the same way when I got my X2. I was worried about the size at first, but got over that pretty quickly. The battery life is unbelievable and I absolutely love the passthrough for when I'm at my computer. I'm not buying the smaller ones anymore, and as soon as I get my backup X2, I'll be giving away my PCC and smaller batteries to my sister to help her quit the cigs.

Can't wait for the colors!
I'll be interested to know if your sister makes the change. I've tried with 7 people to get them into ecigs. People who swore they really, really wanted to quit, but so far not one of them has adopted ecigs the way I did.
I've posted several times about this problem, with no concrete solution. I know it's up to them and their determination, and of course, how much they like ecigs. But still I wonder if there is something I could have said to tip the scale. I truly believe that the Volt is the best option for a beginner. A disposable is the easiest, but they aren't very good, and have no options other than menthol or tobacco.
So please let me know if you were successful!

In the end it is really a personal decision... took me 3 tries with ecigs.... there is still mind over matter.

I would try to discuss with them why they are resistant to it? flavor, ease of use etc..

I think the old styles from a couple of years ago gave them a bad wrap too.

A guy I volunteer with in little league saw me with mine and said "oh, my wife quit with them for about 3 months ago but she went back to analogs because they were too much of a pain and cost too much.". He's said it was 2 years ago, with the old 3piece systems.

People will come around. They are become less and less expensive and more mainstream. Now, if we could just get those cheap POS out of the gas stations and replace them with good products it would be easier. I mean really, $12 for a disposable ecig that they say is equal to 2 packs of analogs. Those things have at most a 1.5ml carto attached.

She's been using cheap disposable PVs off and on at work ever since they banned analogs in bars, so I gave her a 78mm, a USB charger, and a bunch of cartos of various flavors. She was really impressed by the difference in quality and likes a lot of the flavors, but has yet to find her go-to juice. Because of this, she still smokes analogs when she's at home. I'm trying to figure out her preferences before suggesting she completely replaces the analogs, but we haven't found the right combination just yet. I'm hoping to get her to try some tobacco flavors next and see if that helps, and she may need a higher nic level than I have. I know that once she finds the right juice, she'll be happy to take two more batteries and a PCC off my hands.

I haven't been completely cig free. I did that last year for about 5 months... then ended up smoking because of poor planning, family stress w/ a few back to back deaths and just couldn't worry about "one more thing" ie. making sure I had charged batteries, full cartos etc. I was also sick of the SI juice at the time. (The juice isn't bad at all, just got sick of the same few SI flavors I like).

This time, I'm vaping..... or smoking, whatever I choose. Smoked one the other day after about 11-12 days or so with none. It gagged me. I couldn't get back to my Volt fast enough. I don't know why I do it, but I can go days, weeks, and then just want one. I'm not going to fight that this time, because I think half the reason I went back to cigarettes last time was because I felt resentful that my "crutch" had been taken away and I was going through a stressful time.

SO, I'm not quitting. I'm just choosing when to smoke and when to vape. I was smoking somewhere between a pack and 2 packs a day... so let's call that 30 cigs. Let's say I have a cig every day. That's 1/30 "smoke times" that's a cig. So 99.97% smoke free is way better than I was doing, and Im not smoking 1 every day. I've gone up to 2 weeks or so without choosing a cig. I'm sure as my body gets healthier and healthier.... I'll choose not to ever have the cig again. I still won't consider it "quitting" though because I can still smoke any time I want... I'm just choosing not to.
