That video totally made my morning. Thanks Yiddle. I just shared it in mass, sent to all my peeps. I know I am going to have to be a lot better about backing up from now on too. In response to if my drive gave any warning before... no not really, I had noticed a few times the fan sounded louder while running a lot of different programs/games but the day the hard drive died I had been using it all morning. I went to the grocery store and when I got home the computer was acting a bit laggy. I just figured that I needed to restart since I do not do it too often. It never restarted properly after that, I have Windows 8 so I got stuck in a loop of it trying to "prepare automatic recovery" and black death screen over an over. Got into my boot setting and ran a diagnosis and showed hard drive failure.

Monk I've got to give credit where it's due every time I look at your avi it cracks me up thats one messed up monkey![]()
I feel slighted. Others got neenered & I got edited.

Hey KaiBot thanks for not beating me to my LUCKY and favorite #![]()
dKaibot,
I missed your reply yesterday. Thanks. Hopefully ur hubby can save it. A couple years ago on my old Win XP system, I got a "Boot loop" virus. It was easily fixed. Not sure if Win8 has that problem with viruses, but I found this for you. Windows 8 is stuck in a reboot loop. and this sounded similar to your problem too, Windows 8 stuck in automatic repair loop . I just googled Win 8 boot loop and Win 8 boot loop virus.
Hmmm, maybe I should of kept reading posts, as you may have fix it already. Oh well.![]()
