Nope it's math. Of course!:D

Clearly a remainder left behind.

I know, I know, we all can sleep better tonight.:p

I just made a Rough one out of paper, too, before seeing that video. I had the same weird leftover that didn't fit perfectly, but it appears not to be an illusion. Gotta try it with a real Chocolate Bar now.

nope....if you watch the bottom piece...as it goes up to fill in on the right side of the bar, the bottom sections lengthen to fit and close the gap to keep all pieces the same length. If you do what is shown in that YT vid...then the leftover piece if cut right will fill in that gap on the right side

As of Thursday 7/11 @ 8:27 pm

A 'liked' post does not mean you've got that number (or that you yourself are even liked). The first person to pick a number gets that number whether it's marked on the board or not. When we 'Like' your picks that means one of the five helpers are marking them on the board. If there are any mistakes/conflicts, we will reply to your post. So check back a while after you pick to see if we noted any problems.

Please do not edit your pick posts.
If someone already took your number, or an error was made, please wait for a helper to post the error. Please "Reply With Quote" to the helper's post with your new pick.

A helper will announce a new round of picks at random times, so check back often and keep track of what round you've already made picks in.

Rounds may last anywhere from 16 seconds to 36 hours based solely on our whim. There are no rules. Life is unfair. Good luck!

We call it a "reset" when we go into a new round. You still keep all of your previous picks. If you miss a round you do not get to back and make up picks. You can only make picks for the current round.

The game ends when the sheet is filled. We then announce the winning pick.

Play to win! There will be no PIFing of number picks. The winner of any contest can PIF the prize if they choose to do so Here.

Theses aren't rules. They are guidance. And they may change at any time. Without prior notice. Maybe even without ensuing notice.

I still think the "gap" you talking about is because the pieces aren't cut on the precise angle as the one Maxx posted. I made another one by using measured lines, all equal widths, at 2x1 rectangles. It fits almost perfectly now when moved around, with exactly one piece left over. I just don't have the diagonal line cut the same.

Being an Animated GIF, I can't pause it to see any better.

Just watch the left piece as it moves up to become the top right piece.....watch the bottom cut sections. There is no way mathematically that you can take an area, cut and shift and keep the same area with some left over. 10 by 10 will always be 100 sq no matter how you cut and rearrange

Looney Tunes -- Round #2
I would like to try and pick three numbers but the spreadsheet will not pull up.
Would you kindly pick any three for me?

We can't do that, hon. If by some chance one of the numbers that WE pick for a player comes up as a winning number....just doesn't look legit. Try this link and if it doesn't work, there are still so very many numbers left, you can either search the thread and see if your desired numbers have been chosen today or just take a shot and cross fingers for no neeners ;)

I know that logically, but it's a fascinating puzzle. :)
