Actually for a touch screen user... the Start Screen does make sense.... The problem is it doesn't apply to the keyboard and mouse effectively or efficiently which is what most users on a desktop use. Luckily, third party utils like Classic Shell addressed the issue and anyone running Win8 and still complaining about the Start Screen ( because they aren't using one of these utils ) only have themselves to blame at this point. A touch interface IS needed... it just isn't all that is needed by everyone.

Yea they should have stuck with the standard windows interface and then added the apps and start screens as an optional addition that you could turn on or off as needed.

funny....cause there are times I go to grab one and don't, move to the next and don't...all the way around till I finally give in to the first I just can't do 1 flavor...after a while it loses taste, so I rotate a lot

I have a nest on a robust (love the robust) too ...but it's empty and just been too laxadaisy to fill it back up
