Big congrats Susan W. and Thanks to all the helpers and Got Vapes for the contest!!
Indeed it would have. The fun wouldn't have stopped until the sun rose the next day. Maybe not even then. That was no hint to any oneJust felt like I needed some Tom Petty and did not want to take that ride alone. To bad you missed the beer run the other night. The results would have been a much better outcome.

I'm so sorry to hear that. What a nightmere! I'd be a wreck if that happened to me. I have so much invested on my drives. I need to back-up more than I do already.
KaiBot, did u notice anything odd regarding your drives performance, just b4 it blew? It's a longshot question. They usually go with little warning. How old was the drive? I'm asking because these things really freak me out!![]()
Kaibot,
Depending on How it failed, and What failed, the Data is often still available. If it just won't Boot into Windows, that Drive can be mounted in another computer, and you can see if any of the Data is accessible. It's just a suggestion, but I'm often able to retrieve Data this way.
If your Windows Logon had a Password, then much of that Data might be Protected under that same Password, making it inaccessible in another computer. It depends on How it went bad. There might be ways to get to the Data.
Send me a PM if you want to discuss it.
