There is but I really haven't had any good luck with them, I'd love to be able to rebuild one and have the dang thing work!
I keep getting dry burnt toots no matter what I try, and believe me I've tried SSSSSssssoo many different things to get them to work correctly.

Well, iffin you only keep one you don't need to raise rats just buy one every week or so.
It's really a perfect pet, doesn't need very much attention and only eats once a week!
As long as you (and Mrs. Maxedout) are the only ones in your household who love those little puppies.
When I was a falconer, I raised coturnix quail as a food supply. She had no problem with that.
Don't understand her aversion to rats though.

I recon they will eat poultry but I only feed rats.

Usually they are "RBAs" rather than "RDAs" (the D is for dripping.) But if what you don't like about dripping is the frequency of the refills, RDAs take 10 or so drops, depending on the amount of wick.
I'm not really an advice giver. I have yet to successfully build a coil. You will get no tips from me on how to do it. But as I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you in the research phase, I will point you at things I've found that look useful.
And I'm not even trying to build again until I figure out which one of this-type thing to buy:

I'm tired of squinting and trying to see the tiny wire. It's worse than threading a needle and my eyes are getting very old.
Pythons regurgitate a casting pellet like raptors do? Or does the fur pass through to the other end?
no they don't regurgitate. Everything is digested. Comes out solid poop like a dog poop. Urine is white and dries hard. Looks like chalk.

I've just begun SSSSSSssssooo any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!
So far I just use pure apple cider, sugar....Brown this time, and brewers yeast.
