I've also found that a hardwired connection can be better than the WiFi in some cases. If you have an Ethernet jack in your room and a cable, you would try that.

Yes, I still pack around a network cable, as some foreign hotels don't have WiFi, but do provide a network connection.

I bought a nice power pack on Black Friday. I thought it would be nice if, in addition to my eGos, it could charge my phone. My phone is an antique (LG VX 5300) and all the <$10 chargers are the weird, flat USB-type end for the phone and a AC plug. So I'm looking for something with AC input and a USB output that could go to the power pack. Does this exist?

It's actually pretty common that way... Look for one that will put out 2 amps of current... You'll find a ton of them on Amazon. Common? I've found lots that let you plug a USB into an outlet. My favorite is 2A, 10W. It will run a passthrough and charge anything. But I have found none that go from standard plug to USB.

That's backwards. I have the second one there (plus a handful of the little $2 ones.) I want the output to be USB and the input to be a regular plug.


ETA: This is the charger. Is there an adapter that will let me plug it into a USB port to charge?
