I have to loose weight. I weight about 540 lbs because I work a desk job and have mainly gained this weight over the last 12 or 13 years, but it seems like every time I go on a diet, I end up eating more! I just hope God will give me the strength to help me with my addiction to eating to much.

Hey Redneck, I kid you not. Vape flavors you like to eat and I bet you'd eat a lot less actual food. :toast:

I don't think so!

Breathing is a LOT better than the alternative!

 I have to agree with you on that one.

540 Pounds??!!

Would you be interested in joining our FSUSA World Wrestling Team? I'll be your manager and promoter (for a nominal cut of the proceeds of course). I'll have you on television in the wrestling matches and even get you on Oprah ... if we hurry.

Maybe we could use the name "The Vaping Kid" or something snazzy like that! Wha'cha think?

Well T, my monitor has never been cleaned so much, it just sparkles, lol.

Day one....still going good. Coffee this morning with WE did it for me as hypnotic mist at a higher strength didn't, go fig. Trying again American Spirit a bit stronger . Didn't know I was going to like WE as much as I do now....hmmm bigger bottle may be in order. But I'm waiting for purecig to come in and see how that one goes.

Was teased at lunch today, coworkers saw my xl steel battery....but it was all in fun, really, they are a lively bunch. One asked me for info on my PV, so he's got some reading to do. Sent him links, including this one and reading material.
I am very proud of myself, didn't slip and just vaped. If I can get thru next couple of days, then I know I can kick this.
Now time for 0 nic to mellow out, gotta sleep sometime tonight, lol.
Thanks for the encouragement!

Div - congratulations! How did it go today?

You can definitely kick your addiction. Even if you slip up and smoke a cig every now and then, that's okay. Eventually, you're likely to not one. Honestly, I can't imagine smoking a cig. again. Vaping tastes to much better!

I think Ab is right - vaping yummy flavors will help you to eat less. By the way, have you tried Weight Watchers? I did about five or six years ago and never gained the weight back. Salem was also on an interesting diet. You might want to ask her about it.

Just take baby steps to start with, Redneck; maybe try to drink more water than soda or tea...if you have a fast food sandwich, eat a piece of fruit with it besides fries...start small and before you know it you could very well start feeling like you have more energy and getting healthier. Don't think of it as a diet but rather as gaining a healthier lifestyle. :)

Wishing you all the best! All good suggestions here. Like vaporgal, weight watchers was a success for me. Unfortunately, unlike vaporgal, I did gain it back when I quit going to the meetings. But it is a solid program. And you can use all of your newfound friends (aka FSUSA junkies) as a support group!! We'll be here for ya!

May I ask a question Redneck? Did you smoke cigarettes and now that your vaping, have you quit cigarettes?

(I think you can see where I'm going with this ...)

Yes, I quit smoking about 20 months ago, but picked them up this past Thanksgiving briefly. had about 7 packs, and I figured I had to do something because I cant smoke because its really bad for me, but I was downloading stuff off a website and saw a blue ad, and thats how I started researching ecigs. But I havent had a cigarette in about a month, and have no desire to. I vape and it gives me everything I want from smoking :)

LOL, ha, ha, ha, e-food! I could only wish! That was a good one! LOL.

No, but I was thinking if you could lick the smoking thing, you could lick the weight thing too.

I don't know about you, but for me something like a "support group" would never work. I think (stupidly perhaps) that I'm too much my own man. But the people here on this Forum are different. Their not a support group for anybody. Their friends. And for me at least, that makes a big difference.

If there is anything you want to do in this life its always good to have some friends willing to take that journey with you. And their right here man! All you have to do is say your going to take the first step and you'll have a whole bunch of friends walking right beside you.

I've seen them help a LOT of people quit cigarettes and you know that is a lot tougher than losing a few pounds. Try it and give them the chance to show you how they can help you along.

Yes, indeed. I think of the people on here as friends. I have met some really good friends on here. I wasn't even on here for a week, and salemsgold reached out to me, and now we are good friends. Also a bunch of others like the Florida girl and AB and Free2be, just some really good people on here. I think its people like this, and even people like you that are better than a support group. At least here, we can all help eachother out. This is really a place for people to come together and socialize, and I feel good here :) Thanks T, your a champ

I still like that e-food idea. Since you have plans on losing weight and won't be able to be the wrestling champion, maybe we could get rich by marketing e-food.

I've fought that &^@# weight all my life and just lost 20 lbs in the last three months. I just took it slow, cut back as much as possible, tried not to eat as stupid as I'm capable of doing and it worked. I'm just doing it in little bits at a time. Like they say about eating an elephant ...

And you're right. You'd have to look for a long time before you'd find a bunch of people like these guys and gals.

And you'll NEVER find anyone like TexasT.

With all this talk of e-food, it sure makes me feel e-hungry. But then my e-doctor will put me on one of those FDA approved e-diets.

Don't let the "big picture" scare ya...just break it down into smaller pics that you can see better. Maybe set a goal of 10-20 lbs. at a time. Then each time you reach a goal, reward yourself...buy a new juice, night out at the movies, or whatever you deem would be rewarding (other than food). And, yes, we are all here for ya...whether it's vaping, weight loss or whatever. Friends help friends. :)
