Oh crap TT...I thought that was your MIL in your signature....oops...I hope she is as unsure of where Philly is as your wife... :)

DOH...why do I always stick my foot where my tongue belongs?

So what do you say Redneck? Gonna do it?

Tell you what. Lose 50 pounds and I'll fix you up with my mother-in-law. And her cow. And that is one fine looking cow!

Nooo, that's not my m-i-l in my signature. That's her cow. Her cow is pretty.

And my m-i-l knows a lot about geography and history and all that stuff. She gradurated eighth grade and has two teeth!!! In fact, she said she would like to come to Pheeladelfia to go sight seeing. She wanted to know if she could stay with you?

Wishing you all the best! All good suggestions here. Like vaporgal, weight watchers was a success for me. Unfortunately, unlike vaporgal, I did gain it back when I quit going to the meetings. But it is a solid program. And you can use all of your newfound friends (aka FSUSA junkies) as a support group!! We'll be here for ya!

I did ww online and continued to count points for months after I lost weight. They have a really easy point calculator on the site.

Redneck - us junkies will definitely be here for you (except TexasT)!

OMG, more City People!

Uuuhhhhh, like ... I raise them ... feed them ... sell them ... and folks in East Texas have them as pets. We love 'em.

Redneck isn't that far from the country. In south Louisiana people raise them...feed them...sell them...and folks in southwest Louisiana have them as barbeque. They love them too.

(I know that because I was born and raised down there.)

How are you doing with it chimney? Did you buy any packs?
Well, I haven't been totally analog free so far. But now, I've got enough good equipment and my Pure Cig with menthol (with a 60 ml bottle coming when this one runs out) + a lot of juices to "sample". In the past, I've gone up to 10 days analog free and then bought a pack of cigarettes (smoked them in 2 or 3 days) and then went another several days without. Repeat as necessary... My resolution is to stop buying the darn things. I don't really need them!!! I don't think that I've ever kept a new years resolution yet. We'll see how this one works....

No, not so far. Today is my 8th day without one. But, I've vaping my head off wishing that I could have just one analog!!

Good for you chimney! Proud of ya! Eight days is a significant accomplishment and puts you well on your way to completely being an ex-smoker! In fact, if I were you I'd just go ahead and tell people your an "ex-smoker." The words will feel good rolling off your tongue.

Congratulations! Keep vaping your head since it's making you stay off the analogs. What flavors are you vaping?

My main vape is Pure Cig (with menthol). I also still have part of a 120ml bottle of Ry4 (that I added my own menthol too.) I keep trying samples that I get. I seem to be able to "taste" the fruit flavors more than anything else. I have lots of sample too. My taste buds still aren't working properly. I was hoping that that would have changed by now. In fact, I was thinking of starting a thread about that. Certain tastes still don't come through for me at all!! I'm jealous at how much other people can taste what I want to taste. :(

Well div, that is fantastic!!! Good for you too. I'll tell ya, one of the best things about hanging around this Forum is seeing how many nice people that FSUSA is helping to get away from cigarettes (me included). Six days, and today is your seventh and every day now you'll want a cigarette less and less and soon you'll be to the point to where you won't even be able to stand being around somebody that is smoking! I didn't think I'd ever be like that, but it happened.

Your clothes will smell nice now, your breath will be tremendously better, your car won't stink, your house won't stink of cigarettes, and vaping won't bother anybody around you. Lots of nice things to look forward to. So stay after it! Personally, I'm really proud of both you and chimney.

My wife quit smoking and started vaping shortly after I did and she smells so pretty now! I went out and bought her a real nice bottle of perfume at the Dollar Store, its called "New Car Smell" and everybody that comes in to the Lube Rack where she works changing oil and lubricating vehicles tells her how nice she smells. I'm proud of her too.

Well my resolution was made for me. I landed in the hospital on Dec 23 with pneumonia and didn't get released until the day after Xmas. I was said it would take a padded room, well the room wasn't padded, but nothing to smoke. So it's 15 days, I still crave, but my ecig helps. I'm waiting for my 0nic spearment and really get off the stuff. I'm dealing with my caramel and creamsicle. My daughter made out like a bandit with the huge bottle of wyatt that I gave her.

Its a shame it took hospitalization to get you away from the cigarettes sammeedog, but at two weeks now you should be well over the worst of it. Its sooo neat to read these threads and see how many people are getting away from cigarettes. It makes me proud to be an FSUSA junkie and I'm equally proud of your for your accomplishment!

I was hardcore addicted. As much as I'm hurting right now, it's all good. I wasn't kidding when I said I needed to be locked up to stop. After several failures, this is the closest I've come 5-10 before getting sick. We have all kinds of clinics for alcohol and drug, paid for by insurance and our tax dollars. This is something that should be considered.

And yes it's great to read these stories of success in here. It seems to come so easy for some, but we are all different. Congratulations to all you guys/gals that did it without the kick in the ... that I needed.
