First year I don't have to say Quit Smoking - but like MK I have many closets to organize and stuff to put away. All three of my children are grown so another goal is to put all of their stuff in tubs and they can take the stuff or it's going to Good Will. My resolution is to take my house back....

CES I am right there with you, I never make resolutions because it seems I can never keep them! This year however I did decide to have my last analog right before ringing in the new year, picked up my ecigg and have not looked back......so maybe this year I will finally see a resolution through!! So far so good :)

Way to go!!!! Welcome to the Womens Room :):)

I am going to find a job where I am appreciated again !!!

I just made mine today-- needed to marinate on it a bit.
I'm resolving to be a better mother. Specifically, to spend more time just having regular conversation with each kiddo individually. Not the teaching kind of conversation or instructional so much, just plain ol' chit-chat. Also, they both are exhibiting some "spoiled" behavior, so I want to nip that in the bud by simply not tolerating it. Sometimes it is easy for me to be lazy and be glad the child is feeding the dog, even if she huffed and puffed about it the whole time as if Princess Sidney was too good to help around the house, rather to than stop the disrespectful behavior immediately.

In short, I will be attentive to each child while simultaneously re-claiming the throne as Queen!

Good Resolutions!
CES, The no resolution one is a sure thing..lol
Linz, We are here to back you up!
Class..If they don't give you your props at work..it's thier loss when you find a better job!
Mrs. Jaxx..In my house no one got dinner unless the animals were fed! When my daughter got too full of herself we made brownies and took them to the resident home for mentally challenged teens near our house. That snapped her back to normal..real fast!

I made a bunch of resolutions to myself, but I think I'll just stick to one, because if I pull that one off, everything else will just naturally fall into place.

My resolution is to be more social. I took care of my father for the last six years of his life, Hospice nurses helped me a lot the last two years. But after he passed on, I just stayed a homebody and have missed out on friends and fun times. I'm determined this year to turn that around. That's going to be harder than it sounds, because I'm extremely shy, but I'm determined.

Blessings to everyone's health and prosperity in new year ahead.

Sea, About 12 years ago I did the same thing..I was out in the country, alone with hubby until Grandma who had Alzheimer's came to stay. I was a virtual prisoner for 2 years.

4 years ago my Mother came to stay with me. She also brought her Alzheimer and other illness with her. That was a challenging 2 years.

But by the time Mom came to live with me I had made the effort to come back out in the world. I joined some Jr. High School friends and started a Women's group that holds picnics and dances to benifit the West Tampa schools. I had to drive 100 miles down from St. Cloud to do it..but it has been great to reconnect with friends and get a LIFE!

My husband goes to events with me and has started going places with his friends bow that we are home (Tampa). It has been really good for both of us.

You have to get out there and meet people. Volunteer, join a book club, get a part time job..anything at all.

I love my Virtual friends and have met quite a few in real life through the Florida Vapors Club meets. It's a great way to dip your toe back into the real world..but nothing beats having lunch or coffee with the girls in real life.
Sometimes I really wish the ladies of the Women's Room could meet and have some coffee or drinks together!

I too like the meeting and chatting with ECF people. ECF is the first forum experience I've had. And you're right -- I wish we were all closer. I'm going to attend the Vape Fest in the fall. It will be in Las Vegas which is only 5 hrs drive from me. Via plane, it's only 55 min. Then I will be able to meet some of the people I've been chatting with. I'm looking forward to it.
