Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I stopped buying mods a long time ago because i think whats currently available vapes perfectly already .

Until something pushes vaping to the next level and is revolutionary in elevating the vaping experience to a level that is not obtainable with current devices i sit tight .

Speaking for myself , I have no interest in having a device that comes with lots of software and functions that i know i'll never use (like Windows 10 ) for example , most of it is just overkill , nothing out there is vastly superior to anything else they all serve a very similar function.

Now if you like the style and build it's understandable but from a practicality standpoint it's just a never ending money pit imo. The new kid on the block will always be out a few weeks later .

I have been fortunate enough to vape some of these top shelf mods and while they are nice in build and appearance they still do the same thing as all my others .

Just my opinion folks , no need for any hostility or death threats .

Gonna be interesting what this M-L is all about when it hits the market.

Question for those who may know: What makes the M-L so different than the M class that the M class can't be firmware upgraded to function like the M-L?

It is probably the software side that i see the diffrence between M-Class and ML-Class.

maybe but @retird s question still stands. Most likely its a rather different chipset with more horsepower to support custom wire TCR curves etc.

My guess, just a bit more on-board storage or essentially expanded profiles similar to the DNA200, that store more than just joules/watts. All tweaked via SXiQ software on a PC, basically "Escribe Light".

Day-to-day out of the box experience will be essentially identical to an SX Mini M with the latest firmware update, no massive changes to the UI, and if you don't want to take advantage of the SXiQ features, you should still have the same control as the latest M class firmware (Ni200, Ti01, Custom TCR, etc) on the device itself.

That's just a guess, mind you. The device after the ML, with the replacement board for the 350J V2, the one that's more competitive feature-for-feature with the DNA200, will roll out sometime in April, a year after the M class launched. And the ML is launching a year after the SX Mini S Class.

From their web site it seems the Q software may only be for upgrading the device??? Not too much info there but the only thing I have really seen on the ML. 75 watts regulated buck/boost and 85 watts in bypass mode (mec mod mode). Wondering if the reason Yihi is not making the M right now could be because the ML is not that much different than the M??? Just guessing....and the new arrival next April may be quite different???

Five new presets that are loaded, presumably via the new SXiQ software (not to be confused with the current SXi software used only for firmware updates).

Now, what you can actually tweak in those Q taste modes remains to be seen, but I'm willing to bet there's preheat/overcurrent of some sort, and TCR twiddling to a limited degree, along with joules/watts.

just noticed it says that the ML will go up to 75J in TC mode; that's a nice little bump.

also, how is it that nobody else has put a gravity sensor on their chips yet? it's not really a deal-breaker, but the screen flipping is definitely a nice feature that i've gotten used to on my m class...

The last firmware update for the M Class lets you use 75J in TC mode too, for all coil types (well, except when in Eco mode, that's still limited to 40J).

One thing for sure is, after the TCR update for the sx350j.. I am now extremely tempted to go out get a sx mini. But I'm holding on to this ML class release to see if it's worth buying over the M class.

I don't need ridiculous 200 watts and lipos.. So this really caught my interest since I'm running SS coils at the moment... I'm hoping they will release the v2 chip to modders for high end stuffs.. I'm kinda into that ;p

I have both the S, M and also the D2 (and honestly for $40 that thing is amazing. It can't do everything but it can get lost and knocked around.) What I am waiting for is for yihi to announce a dual 18650 mod that does 150w, has TC, can build down to 0.1. For me that would be my be all and end all of at home vapes, somthing that does everything. I really hope that this will be their December announcement

Things upgrade constantly, its just natural:
Anything in this world improves at breakneck speeds, say cars... U buy that 2015 honda civic and bam, next month right after u dropped downpayment and signed for the car, the new revised 2016 completely redesigned one comes out *pulls hair* ! Say phones... U jus got ur iphone 6s plus, bam 10 months later iphone 7 is announced, its just the nature of every industry (almost), new things keep coming out, u, as an early adoptor can decide to buy or not to buy, nobody is forcing u, but if u have the resources u can enjoy new toys when it comes out, what u get now will not last indefinitely as the best but it is at the moment the best

What about ur dna40's?:
Dna40 wasnt upgradeable, ppl dropped 200 for it left and right, now dna200 comes out, u guys gona be mad at evolv for not doing anything for dna40 people? Evolv left all the dna40 users to rot, wheres is the anger and frustration there ? Ur dna40 just became paperweight, $200 down the drain

Sx mini m upgraded so much theres not much to add to ml:
Sx mini m was upgraded to 2.2 from 1.4, then to 2.32, loads of features that shouldve been saved for the ml, now the only difference between them is the coarse threads of the ml (supposedly an improvement to the m's finer threads) and the software plus a new exterior look, pretty much if u had the m there is little reason to upgrade unless they come out with a dual 18650 sx 350j-v2 mod, ppl cry for upgrades, but as a company like yihi, new products every 6-12 months is natural, to compete with likes of evolv they need to evolve themselves

I hate buying new gear, but we just want new things:
I personally believe the constant onslaught of new gear every few months is very good and at the same time it shrinks my wallet size and is quite annoying but thats just how thing is now, the good news is that vaping is so good now that the variety is just mind boggling so the solution is just get what mod and tanks u like and use it, i myself vape at 30-40watts @ 0.8 ohms claptons (good battery life, flavor and vapor) have little use for anything other than that

So back to main topic, the ml is sexy imo, i just wish they come out with a bigger brother variant that houses dual 18650 (business wise makes sense), some likes small for factor like the mini, others might prefer longer battery life from two cells and more power

Would i keep using my m ? Ofx
Would i get ml? Sure
Would i get dual18650 version if yihi releases it? Sure
