Thank you. Let me clarify further. The software, once set up, does it need to be accessed often or left alone for the most part once done? (Mac User, not Windows - need to understand how often it needs to be used)

Unless you want to play with the output curves or update the firmware you don't really need to use the software. I've played with it a bit but tbh just using the Preset modes of Soft, Eco and Powerful is what I find myself using 99% of the time. I'm a tootle puffer though so if your builds are more complex you'll be able to tune the SXI-Q memory locations then select them when you wish.

Why TC does not work as it should with 316SS wire??? I input correct TCR value for 316SS and....... of vapour and taste :-x

I'm no SS expert but what numbers are you using for the TCR? And are you cleaning the wire thoroughly and dry burning it prior to wicking / juicing? I haven't tried 316SS on the SXmini ML yet as I've never had very good luck with it so set it aside but I may try it again on this device to see if it's any better or not.

Have tried several mods specifically designed for both 304 and 317L SS and have not yet found one that does SS easily. Also not convinced that SS is worth all the hype.
But, saw this quote elsewhere and this makes sense to me. Meant for the updated M class but imagine it would likely be the same on the ML unless someone can comment to the contrary.

If you've updated your M-Class, try building your favorite ADV Kanthal set with SS316 @ ~ half your normal resistance in the same gauge. Then try it on your SXM using the Powerful boost and the .00094 TCR. If you don't like it, you can still vape it on your usual device (if that device can handle the ohms). I think you'll notice an improvement either way.

The main benefit of the TC, in this case, will be the extended draw without the overheating. I don't see any reduction of vapor or flavor.

I use ss304 in the vtc mini and the Rx200 and they work great. As well as titanium, definitely.

What TCR nubers for input???
0105 on the vtc mini (a bit higher than what ss304 is supposed to be according to steam-engine). Simply the ss mode on the rx200 as it doesn't have adjustable tcr (but it's supposedly set for ss304).

For 316SS 0.000915, then 0.00092 and finaly 0.000880 and ....... Will try preset for 304SS when i get this wire.

Went ahead and rebuilt a deck with the SS316L I have and it's probably the best vaping I've ever gotten from this wire.

Here's how I built it and my settings right or wrong idk but it's working right now, regulating pretty well and no bad taste.
12 wraps 24g contact on about a 3mm mandrel locking in at .52Ω
Stretched and torched it on the mandrel
Put on device and locked resistance
After attaching to deck pulse fired at 15W in Power mode and pinch together to get all the hot spots out and an even glow from center to ends
Change back to Temp mode
Set manual TCR to .00091, I actually started out at .00088 from Steam Engine then tried a few different settings and landed on the .00091. Looked back here to see @Quantum Mech had posted that.
Let it sit and rest 10-15 min and Lock resistance again

I'm not sure if the additional accuracy of the ML resistance reading is playing a role in this or not but It's working well enough I'm going to reconsider this 316L wire and attempt to use it again. I think next build I'll reduce the number of wraps to 10 or under as this build I had to increase my joules from 23J to over 30J.

Nice one, I have a dual coil build in the Billow v2 Nano with ss316 that vapes a treat too

Although the same build not going as well in Zephyrus v2 or Cthulha v2

Not sure why yet, need to play more
