Cool. I wished I would've made my mind up sooner and got another one of these but I think the Q will be extra nice. The only thing I am worried about is it seems that the multiple battery mods are the ones that have the problems but if anyone can fix that YiHi can. Plus the IPV5 is now going to use the YiHi340 instead of the 330-200 may be the same chip I don't know but will be interesting to see. I heard that a guy who is part owner in pioneer4you and sigelei owns YiHi also. Small world although sigelei doesn't say they use YiHi chips thats what he said is true.

@2legsshrt we are all standing by.... I have even allocated additional memory to my browser and firewall configurations so I can handle the deluge of a rapid firing flow of IPv4 and even IPv6 packets that we expect will be streaming in similar to a DOS attack coming in from an undisclosed location in Romania that seems to frequent banking systems here in the US by controlling a botnet of over 50k ready PC's.

Only kidding! We are here to help! :pop: :danger:

I know your only joking here but what you bring up should be a real concern IMO. It doesn't take much for a developer to open the door to security breaches on a system either intentionally or accidentally by not knowing best practices and standards and putting in some vulnerable or bad code. Fortunately the SXI-Q software and underlying components don't appear to require any additional inbound or outbound ports to be enabled on the firewall, unlike some other manufactures that do. Not saying any are vulnerable or not as only a thorough code review could answer that. But for me I'm a little less paranoid with SXI-Q knowing it's not sending / receiving information in the background to the internet.

What would be the purpose though. They already have more money then Gates.

There doesn't need to be a purpose for a developer to drop some vulnerable code into an application whether they are aware of it or not. If they did, that does't mean they'd be the ones to take advantage of it but would have opened the door for others to do so. What I was saying is I'm less paranoid knowing the SXI-Q application does not require firewall rules be changed or ports opened and no data is being transferred in the background that I've been able to see. But on the other hand there are other manufactures applications that want application rights to make calls to the internet in the background, so IMO a bit more of a security risk than SXI-Q.

Woohoo! got the tracking number for my white ML today, looking forward to that little beauty!

I can see how people get addicted to collecting sx minis, such quality devices. I really want Yihi to release some more info on the Q-class, everything will be quiet for at least 2 weeks now for the chinese new year though.

Yeah it's going to be a long 2 weeks. :(

Thanks, I knew it was Yihi sleeve just hadn't seen anyone selling anything other than black. Still don't think anyone has anything other than black in the states.

I don't know what the problem is with US vendors not bothering to carry YIHI sleeves. I had to order a blue one from the UK. I wasn't too happy paying more for the shipping than the product but I had no choice to pay it. It came to $20.59 total.

I've never bought more than 1 of a mod in my life other than the ordering snafu that landed me two VT200. The way I look at it there is always a new mod right around the corner. On top of that if you buy quality mods they should last longer than a week or two. Just my :2c:.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit. Even at that, I still have mods sitting around collecting dust. I basically have four that I rotate and the others sit on a shelf looking lonely

I never buy more than one of each mod I'm interested in too. I always buy high quality mods that I know will last me at least a few years or more. I get attached to mods and would rather have a few high quality mods than lots of cheap mods.

Actually @Vlad1 I was referring to packets coming in from ECF from @2legsshrt's postings not the Chinese! lol But those concerns are something we need to think about also and I think both of us with an IT background do think about. I am glad though that the SXi software doesn't do such things.
