The company making these Battery Caps should sell them to Yihi. Yihi could have corrected their flaw (a flaw also in the M Class) but chose not to so a 200 dollar mod becomes a 220 dollar mod (plus shipping).

I think YIHI is the one making these caps. They had it posted on their FB page. Maybe in the future they'll include it with the ML. I gave the cap more thought and ordered one. Varitube gives you a $2 YIHI fan discount making the total price with shipping $20.55.

OK if Yihi is making them than I give them credit for addressing the issue but chastise them for making the customer pay for the solution. Everyone with an ML should get a replacement at no charge as far as I'm concerned if Yihi is making these. It is nice that Varitube is giving a 2 dollar fan discount.

The caps are not flawed to the best of my knowledge I haven't heard of any failing. A subjective design decision perhaps, similar to many mechanical tube mods. Many including myself have had the M class since release and have no problems with it. The ML isn't quite the same as the M but similar in design and again I've not heard of any flaws or failures to date. Again a subjective design decision perhaps but not flawed.

Of the many, many mods with battery caps I've had in over 5+ years of vaping the ML was the only one that was difficult to manipulate. Call it a subjective design decision if you wish but to me it is a flaw. Any 200 dollar device should have a "fiddle free" cap. Folks have complained about both the M-Class and the ML-Class. At any rate, if the Q-Class doesn't have caps then they made a better subjective design decision and eliminated the flaw.

I wonder if going forward they will switch over to the new cap? That seems to be a complaint I've heard quite a few times (the cap). Now that they seem to have come out with a better design, it would seem like the the right thing to do to just switch over to it. That is unless they just want to collect an additional $20 from their supporters!

Cheers,
Steve

Now that I think about it I'm not sure if YIHI makes the new cap or not. It was a person from this thread that posted it on the YIHI FB page. He posted it in this thread too but I would have to search lots of pages to find it. It says YH on the bag. Not sure what that stands for.

It looks like a nice cap whoever made it...... :)

I found the person who posted it on FB and here. It was @bonmatos. It looks like it is a YIHI cap.

I thought of this one... china made flask but cap is a bit different...

The description of the one at Varitube says this:

New Special Limited Edition replacement cap for the SXmini ML Class. No more tools or coins needed. Integrated, folding, hidden handle. Authentic made by YiHi for the ML Class.

Yeah I think it was the Flask I seen.

I must have overlooked made by YIHI.

Well I just put in an order for the Pioneer4you PureX2 coil less tank! I'm not usually one to buy new things before lots of research and reviews. I couldn't wait to see this tank in action. It was $30 so I figured what the Hell. They didn't have extra heating elements so I guess if it works as advertised I'll have 3months to find some!

Where did you find it for $30?
